Power Grid Corporation of India Limited has commenced the application process of PGCIL Recruitment 2021 from 18 June 2021 to 08 July 2021 whose official notification was posted on the official website on 24 May 2021 with 35 vacancies of Electrical and Civil Diploma Trainees for Northern Region-I. Compensation Package During Training Period and on Regularisation

PGCIL Diploma Trainee Salary: Perks and Benefits
The selected PGCIL Diploma Trainees will be entitled to receive certain perks or additional benefits apart from the basic pay which are given below:
- Dearness Allowance (DA) as per the applicable rate of IDA
- Allowances considered under Cafeteria Approach is limited to 35% of Basic Pay

Note:
- Rate of Increment: 3.0 %

Service Agreement Bond Details
Selected candidates will be given training for a period of one year. Candidates will be required to execute a Service Agreement Bond with the following details to successfully complete the training period and must serve the company for at least 3 years of duration:

PGCIL Diploma Trainee In Hand Salary
The PGCIL Diploma Trainees after successfully completing one-year training and on regularization will receive a handsome salary of approx Rs. 40,000/- to 45000/- monthly.
PGCIL Diploma Trainee Job Profile
Electrical Diploma Trainee
The basic work responsibilities of an Electrical and Civil Diploma Trainee are given below:
- These candidates are generally assigned to the electrical maintenance section.
- Their main task is to install, maintain and repair electrical equipment such as electric motors, lighting systems, transformers, cables, switching equipment, isolators etc.
- Completing all the tasks set by Supervisors or assisting wherever possible.
- To Observe existing strategies and techniques and offering suggestions for improvement.
- To Compile reports and deliver presentations to the staff members
- Conducting research and collating data
- Attending Meetings and Workshops etc.
Civil Diploma Trainee
- To carry out Construction works going on in PSU like bridges, buildings, foundations at the base of transformers or any other electrical work etc.
- Site visits and Maintenance of all the civil structures constructed in PSU premises etc.
- Completing all the tasks set by Supervisors or assisting wherever possible.
- To Observe existing strategies and techniques and offering suggestions for improvement.
- To Compile reports and deliver presentations to the staff members
- Conducting research and collating data
- Attending Meetings and Workshops etc.
PGCIL Diploma Trainee Career Growth
Promotions in PGCIL are done after every 3 years. For Promotions Diploma Trainees will be judged based on their seniority and the qualification like only diploma or diploma with B.Tech.
- Diploma Trainee to S1 (Supervisor Level 1): 3-4 years
- S1 (Supervisor Level 1) to S2 (Supervisor Level 2): 3-4 years
- S2 (Supervisor Level 2) to S3 (Supervisor Level 3): 3-4 years
- S3 (Supervisor Level 3) to S4 (Supervisor Level 4): 4-5 years
