What is NRA CET for 12th Pass?

The NRA Common Eligibility Test is a newly designed national-level combined entrance test to be conducted every year, starting from early 2021. The exam is conducted by the newly formed government organization National Recruitment Agency (NRA) for the Tier-1 Non-Gazetted posts, Group B non-technical posts, and Group C posts of the central government. NRA CET will serve as a common test for the various central government organizations, including the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Railway Recruitment Board (RRBs), and Institute of Banking Personnel (IBPS). However, the organizations will conduct Tier-2 and Tier-3 levels separately on their own.

How to apply online for NRA CET for 12th Pass?

Here are the steps that you can follow for the successful application of NRA CET:


Step1: Check the eligibility criteria of the level you are appearing for in the exam.

Step2: The CET application form will be released on the official website of the NRA. Fill the application form with all the correct details and documents, and do not forget to preview your application form.

Step3: Download the CET admit card from the NRA official website and get a printout.

Step4: Appear for the exam, and based on your cut-off, you can subsequently appear for Tier-2 and Tier-3 of the desired exams.

Before sitting to fill the NRA CET application form, candidates must keep all the important and relevant documents and their scanned copies on their respective devices to avoid any last-minute hassles.

  • XII Class Certificate with the date of birth
  • Scanned copy of Date of Birth certificate
  • Scanned copies of Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, and Voter ID Card
  • Scanned copy of candidate’s signature
  • Caste Certificate issued by authorized Government official.
  • Domicile/Nativity Certificate issued by authorized Government official.

What will be the syllabus of the exam?

The exam will have 200 marks, and the duration will be 60 minutes. There will be four sections, carrying 25 questions each.
