NRA CET for Graduates 2022

The National Recruiting Agency formed by the Union Cabinet conducts the NRA CET exam each year. The NRA CET is an admission test to shortlist candidates for Group B, C and other non-gazetted posts. The exam is conducted in various tiers. While Tier I is common for all candidates, further exams are conducted by the IBPS for banking jobs, SSC and RRBs for staff and railway jobs respectively. Candidates qualify for the Tier-II exams based on their NRA CET score.

NRA CET for Graduates Exam pattern 2022

The NRA CET paper is conducted online for 10th, 12th, and graduate candidates. It is conducted twice every year, in March and September, tentatively. Furthermore, the paper consists of 200 questions having a weightage of 1 mark each. Generally, The exam is divided into four sections - Reasoning Ability, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness.

The Tier-II and Tier III papers change based on the conducting body, i.e IBPS, SSC or RRBs. Also, the difficulty level of the paper changes every year. Hence, students should be well prepared for it.

What to study for NRA CET 2022?

The NRA CET will be held at three levels: Class 10, Class 12, and graduation. The syllabus will be structured according to the exam levels. The syllabus for the NRA CET has yet to be released. However, based on the current RRB, IBPS, and SSC exam syllabus, questions in Reasoning Ability, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness are expected to be asked.   • English Language

The English language section is among the easiest section if you have good grammatical skills and vocabulary in English. Students must read essays, books and editorials every day to improve their English skills. The most common type of questions asked in this section is Synonyms & Antonyms, Cloze Test, Verbal Ability and more.

  • Quantitative Ability

For the Quantitative section, Practice is the key. Students must learn all the fundamentals of calculation, arithmetic and formulas for the examination. Stick to the basics and learn how to solve problems quickly. Calculative questions can be found in arithmetic. As a result, put in additional practice time with these questions. You can use a typical book for advanced math. After you've mastered the topics, begin taking as many mock tests as you can.

  • Reasoning Ability

Reasoning ability is a tricky section for every student. Hence, it is advised that students try and solve quality questions on each topic. Try to understand the different types of questions asked in the test. The best way to practice this section is through tests and mock papers.

  • General Knowledge

This section includes questions from both current and static GK. You must be well-versed in current events of national and international significance. Going through the newspapers every day is the easiest approach to deal with this section.

  • NRA CET 2022 is conducted in all three levels i.e 10th, 12th and Graduation hence candidates who cleared their examination are eligible to apply for the exam. Furthermore, there is an age limit for the exam which depends on the type of job role the candidate is looking for. There is a relaxation in the age limit for category (SC/ST/OBC) as well as PwD candidates.
