Recently, the Maharashtra Public Service Commission has announced the syllabus for the post of Sub Registrar in the MPSC Combined examination. 

Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) conducts MPSC Combined Exam, also known as the MPSC Subordinated State Services Exam, every year. The Maharashtra Public Service Commission is authorised for recruiting officers to serve the Maharashtra State government. In this article, we will look at the syllabus of the MPSC Combined Pre and Main Examination.

MPSC Combined Exam Revised Syllabus 

Pre-examination is being conducted by Maharashtra State Public Service Commission for the 4 posts of Sales Tax Inspector, Sub-Inspector of Police,  Assistant Section Officer & Sub Registrar. If we analyze it closely, we will find that the Maharashtra Combined Service Examination is simpler and easier than the MPSC Rajyaseva Examination for the following reasons:

  • One prelim paper
  • Only two main papers
  • All papers are in MCQs / objective format

MPSC Combined Selection Process 

Before discussing the MPSC Combined Group B syllabus, let us look at the MPSC Combined Exam Selection Process. The MPSC Combined examination is based on three stages:

  1. Pre (1 paper - 100 marks)
  2. Main (2 papers - 400 marks)
  3. Physical test and interview (for PSI only)

MPSC Combined Mains Revised Exam Pattern

At this stage, there are different main examinations for different posts. But the syllabus of Paper-1 is the same for all 4 posts.

Static concepts must be mastered, and current affairs focused on key facts- sports, personalities, awards, any place specific peculiarities etc., must be covered in the context of Maharashtra State.
