SNAP eligibility criteria 2022 is defined by Symbiosis International University (SIU) every year for their respective MBA courses. SNAP eligibility defines the minimum required qualification to take the SNAP MBA Entrance Exam. The SNAP Eligibility includes details about age limit, educational qualification and more. So, the aspirants, who are thinking to take the SNAP 2022 exam must check the exam eligibility criteria of SIU, before filling out the application form.

SNAP Eligibility Criteria For Indian Students

The aspiring Indian candidates need to have the following eligibility criteria for SNAP 2022. Apply for the SNAP exam if you are eligible. Check SNAP Registration 2022 details

  • There is NO AGE LIMIT to apply for this test
  • The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from any recognised university or Institution of National Importance. He/she must have acquired at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of the candidates who belong to SC or ST)
  • Candidates who are in the final year of their graduation can also opt for this test but their admission will be dependent on the attainment of a minimum of 50% marks in their final year (45% marks or equivalent grade for the SC or ST)
  • Admission of final year’s candidates will be provisional and will be cancelled if the above-stated criteria would not be satisfied
  • Even if the candidate has been admitted provisionally, it does not mean that his/her acceptance is granted. The final decision will be taken by Symbiosis International (Deemed) University (SIU)

SNAP Eligibility Criteria for SIU affiliated Institutes

SIU also determines SNAP 2022 eligibility for specific programs and institutes. Besides, the SNAP 2022 score will be accepted by Symbiosis institutes across the country; however, each institute has different eligibility criteria.

 

Despite the fact that the eligibility for candidates who require specialised discipline/subject specialisation will be determined by the relevant institute, SIU will determine final eligibility for admission. Check the below mentioned institutes and courses which require exemption eligibility.

SNAP Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Students

The Symbiosis Centre for International Education (SCIE) department of the University provides support for the University's efforts to internationalize the campus and its curricular. The admissions are centralised for all the Institutes that fall under Symbiosis International (Deemed University) and are routed through SCIE. This has made it possible for all candidates from all over the world to apply and get admission to the SIU affiliated Institutes.

The International Students are categorised as follows:

  • Foreign National (FN) - A student is eligible to apply as a Foreign National (FN) if he/she is a citizen of any country other than India and holds a foreign passport.
  • Overseas Citizen of India - A student is eligible to apply as OCI if he/she is granted Overseas Citizenship of India and has an OCI card.
  • Person of India Origin - A student is eligible to apply as a Person of Indian Origin (PIO) if he/she has a PIO card, and is a citizen of a country other than India.
  • A non-Resident of India - A student is eligible to apply as a Non-Resident Indian (NRI) if he/she is an Indian National and has appeared for the 12th examination (equivalent to the Indian 12th) or graduation outside India. It is mandatory for one of the two qualifying examinations to be given outside India.

The aspirants from foreign universities, overseas citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), and NRI are eligible to apply SNAP 2022 exam. Note the below section for eligibility:

SNAP Eligibility for International Applicants

  • Aspirants applying under overseas criteria need to clear an English Proficiency Test.
  • The aspirants who will appear for IELA or IELTS, need to secure band 4 and band 6 respectively.
  • The candidates who have completed their graduation from any foreign university must have obtained an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian University (AIU)
  • All the foreign degrees/ qualifications must have consented to the AIU by the candidates before looking for admission to any programme of SIU
  • It is the responsibility of the candidate to fulfil the requisite qualifications/degrees needed for admission.
  • They need to submit residence proof, passport, copy for a visa (student visa), bonafide certificate and provisional letter of admission from the university/institute and college

SNAP 2022 Reservation Policy

SIU announces SNAP 2022 Reservation Policy after releasing the official notification of SNAP Exam 2022. However, the aspirants can keep in mind the below points to get an idea about the reservation policy terms for admission in any of the institutes of SIU except Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies.

  • A candidate applying under any of the reserved categories (Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes/Kashmiri Migrants/Differently Abled) is obligatorily required to submit a relevant document issued by a competent authority. All the documents needed during the admission process by the candidate will be verified and should be authentic.
  • If a candidate falls under more than one category, he/she has to select any one category at the time of filling up the registration form. He/she will get all the benefits or entitlements according to that selected category. He/she will not be able to claim benefits under any other category at any stage of the admission process.
  • Candidates applying under the reserved category should note the eligibility norms carefully before applying this form.
  • A minimum level of performance by the candidates is required in a SNAP test.
  • If any candidate’s credentials related to a reservation is found to be incorrect, then the University is authorised to cancel the candidature of such a candidate at any stage of the admission process.
  • If caste certificates are issued only for respective state government benefits, then it will not be accepted. If issued in vernacular, will need to be supported by the English translation, issued by the authority.
  • If a candidate come under the Differently Abled Category, he/she will be provisionally admitted to it. Thereafter, he/she has to get an 'Authentication Certificate’ from Symbiosis Centre of Health Care (SCHC) within one of commencement of the programme. SCHC will check the validity and verify all the documents provided by the candidate.
  • Officers of Armed Forces on Study Leave as authorised by respective Services HQs are granted automatic admission subjected to meeting eligibility criteria.

  • Scheduled Caste (SC):15%
  • Scheduled Tribes (ST): 7.5%
  • Differently Abled: 3%
  • Nagpur Domiciled: 25% (applicable only for SIBM, Nagpur)
  • Children/wards of Defence Personnel: 5% (applicable only for following Programmes of the Institute

If you are unable to apply to any MBA programmes in your desired Symbiosis Institute, your SNAP 2022 exam fees will not be refunded. So, the aspirants need to check the SNAP exam 2022 eligibility before starting the SNAP 2022 registration process.
