MICAT 2023 Exam for phase 2 is conducted successfully on 28 January 2023. Candidates who have appeared for the phase 2 exam can now check MICAT Exam 2023 analysis here and review their performance and the question paper. As per the latest official update, MICAT 2023 phase 1 exam was conducted on 3 December 2022 and its result was declared by MICA on 19 December 2022. 

MICAT 2023 notification was released by Mudra Institute of Communications Ahmedabad. MICAT 2023 Notification

MICA has released the notification regarding MICAT 2023 admission process for batch 2023-2025. MICAT is a CBT exam conducted for the selection of PGDM-C. It is conducted twice a year in over 48 cities across the country. MICAT I 2023 is scheduled to be held this year on 3 December 2022, while the phase 2 exam will be held on 28 January 2023.

What is MICAT?

MICA Admission Test, commonly known as MICAT, is an online MBA Entrance Exam for admission into the flagship PGDM-C course of MICA Ahmedabad. It is a unique exam that involves both subjective and objective questions. MICAT 2023 has three sections,

  • Section A: Psychometric Test
  • Section B: Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability, General Awareness, and Divergent-Convergent Reasoning
  • Section C: Descriptive Test

The eligibility criteria to appear for MICAT Exam 2023 are given below. It is important to go through the MICAT 2023 Eligibility before applying for the exam.

  1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
  2. Candidates in their final year of graduation are eligible to appear for the MICAT 2023.

MICA has declared the official notification to submit MICAT 2023 application form. The entire process is online. Candidates can choose PGDM-C and/or PGDM programs while completing MICAT Registration. How to Apply for MICAT 2023?

Below are the steps to fill MICAT Application Form 2023 online from the official website of MICA

  • Step 1: Visit the official site of MICA
  • Step 2: Register for MICA 2023 on the home page.
  • Step 3: On the registration page, register for MICA by filling up the basic details such as your name, contact number, e-mail ID, and captcha. Once you have filled in the details, tick the 'I Agree' checkbox and click the 'Submit' button.
  • Step 4: A new screen will display your name and user ID. The same will be sent to your registered e-mail ID and contact number.
  • Step 5: After successfully registering for MICAT 2023, complete the application form by filling up other important details in the General Information Section. It includes personal information, Correspondence Address, Permanent Residential Address, Contact Details, Personal Photograph, and Signature. Click “Save & Continue”.
  • Step 6: Enter your scores obtained in the CAT/XAT/GMAT in the required space provided.
  • Step 7: After furnishing the details, select the program you wish to apply for at MICAT 2023. Select the exam centre as per your preference.
  • Step 8: Verify the details and click on the 'Submit button.
  • Step 9: The last and final step is the payment of the application fee for MICA 2023. Pay the required amount for MICAT 2023 exam through online mode/demand draft/SBI challan.
  • Step 10: After submitting the application fee, take a printout of the application form of MICAT 2023 that will be required later.

MICAT Selection Process 2023

The selection process for PGDM-C and PGDM through MICAT 2023 exam is given below: Also, check MICAT 2023 Selection Process.

  1. Appear for one of the three exams: CAT/ XAT/GMAT
  2. Appear for MICA Admission Test (MICAT).
  3. GE & PI: Shortlisted candidates from MICAT 2023 will have to appear for both Group Exercise (GE) & Personal Interview (PI).

Shortlisting Criteria for GE and PI for MICAT 2023

Given below are the criteria for selection into GE and PI for admissions into MICA.

  1. Applicants need to clear the psychometric test or section A of the MICAT Exam.
  2. After clearing the psychometric test, candidates’ relative performance will be calculated based on their CAT/XAT/GMAT scores. The minimum cut-off marks in CAT/XAT/GMAT will be considered.
  3. Candidates who clear as per their scores criteria in CAT/XAT/GMAT will then have to qualify the Section B of MICAT 2023.
  4. Those who clear the above two steps (qualify based on relative performance subject to a minimum cut-off in scaled/normalized scores of section B of MICAT) will have to qualify for the Descriptive test, i.e., Section C of MICAT 2023. Each section will have its own cut-off.
  5. Those who will qualify as per the marks stated in the above points (based on relative performance subject to a minimum cut-off in normalized scores of section C) will be called to appear for the GE and PI.
  6. The GE and PI list is prepared on the composite score formula of 50% CAT/XAT/GMAT and 50% of MICAT 2023 scores.
  7. Here is the marks distribution weightage for the selection process of MICAT 2023.

MICAT Exam Pattern 2023

The Exam Pattern of MICAT 2023 has undergone a few minor changes, which are mentioned below.

  • MICAT Exam 2023 duration is reduced by 30 minutes making it a total of 2 Hours 15 minutes.
  • There are three sections with a total of 6 tests in the MICAT 2023.
  • First qualifying round is section A or the psychometric test.
  • A negative marking of 0.25 mark is for VA, QA, GA, and DCR.
  • There is no negative marking in the descriptive and psychometric sections in MICAT 2023.
