Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant Age Limit

Candidates must fulfill the following age limit in order to be eligible for Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant recruitment-

Category

Age Limit

GD/ Women SSA/ Pilot/ Navigator

Candidates must have been born between July 1, 1998, to June 30, 2002

Commercial Pilot CPL SSA

Candidates must have been born between July 1, 1998, to June 30, 2004.

Law Officer

Candidates must have been born between July 1, 1993, to June 30, 2002

Technical Mechanical

Candidates must have been born between July 1, 1998, to June 30, 2002.

Technical Electrical/ Electronics

Candidates must have been born between July 1, 1998, to June 30, 2002

Age Relaxation: The Age Limit for ICG AC recruitment is 20-24 years (born between July 1, 1998 to June 30, 2002) for all the branches. Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates.

Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant Educational Qualification

The candidates must have the following qualifications in order to be considered eligible for the Assistant Commandant posts:

Educational Qualification

General Duty

  1. Candidates who have earned a Bachelor’s degree from any recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate.
  2. Mathematics and Physics as subjects up to intermediate of 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent with 60% aggregate in Mathematics and Physics.

CPL SSA

The candidate must have qualified Intermediate.

Technical (Engineering and Electrical)

  1. Engineering degree with 60% marks in aggregate or should have passed Sections A and B examination from the Institution of Engineers (India) in any of the disciplines listed below with 60% marks:- 
  • Engineering Branch- Naval architecture or Mechanical or Marine or Automotive or Mechatronics or Industrial and Production or Metallurgy or Design or Aeronautical or Aerospace.
  • Electrical Branch- Electrical or Electronics or Telecommunication or Instrumentation or Instrumentation and Control or Electronics and Communication or Power Engg. Or Power Electronics.
  1. At least 60% marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics in 12th class.

OR

Three-year diploma course with an aggregate of 60%.

Law Officer

The candidate must have a degree in Law.
