UPPSC PCS J Interview Process

After passing the preliminary and main exams, applicants are eligible for the final round of interviews.

  • In this stage, the UPPSC will evaluate candidates based on their abilities and practical knowledge relevant to the job description.
  • Even though there is no set syllabus for the interview process, candidates must prepare current events for this phase.

  • Yes, there is a negative marking in the UPPSC PCS J Prelims Examination. For every incorrect answer, 0.5 marks are deducted. Further, there is no negative marking in the UPPSC PCS J Mains Examination.

  • For the post of UPPSC PCS Judicial Service, the candidates have to undergo three stages of the selection process- Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Interview. The candidate is called for the final Interview round only after getting shortlisted in the Preliminary and Main Examination.

  • No. The Preliminary Examination is a qualifying examination that is conducted to shortlist the candidates for the Mains Examination. The marks scored in the Preliminary examination are not considered while preparing the final merit list.
