MAHA TET Admit Card 2021

Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (MAHA TET) 2021 is conducted and regulated by the Maharashtra State Examination Council, Pune. It is a state-level teacher eligibility test. It is a paper-pen-based, OMR entrance assessment. The announcement of the MAHA TET Official Notification 2021 has invited all interested candidates from the state of Maharashtra to apply for the post of Lower Primary Teachers (classes 1-5) and Upper Primary Teachers (classes 6-8) in the government schools of Maharashtra.

  • Fill in the MAHA TET Application form 2021 carefully with all personal, professional and educational information.
  • Upload scanned copies of requisite personal, professional and educational documents.

MAHA TET Application Fees:

The application fees for Maharashtra Teachers Eligibility Test (MAHA TET) are different for different candidate categories. They have been given below for your reference. Note that any changes made in the MAHA TET Application Fees shall be notified by the exam conducting authority through an official notification. 

  • Paper I – General candidates pay Rs. 500/ Concession fee is Rs. 250
  • Paper-II – General candidates pay Rs. 500/ Concession fee is Rs. 250
  • Paper I and Paper II – General candidates pay Rs. 800/ Concession fee is Rs. 400

MAHA TET Eligibility Criteria 2021

Before applying for the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (MAHA TET) 2021, all candidates must check whether they fulfill all the below given MAHA TET Eligibility Criteria 2021. If a candidate does not meet any one or more of the eligibility criteria prescribed by the exam conducting authorities, then that candidate's candidature can be canceled or disqualified anytime. Minimum Education Qualification

For Primary Teachers (Class I to V): 

  • The candidate must pass Class 12 or equivalent examination with 50 % marks. (45% for reserved categories)
  • The candidate should have a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.Ed) or Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.Ed) and must have secured 50%. (45% for reserved categories)
  • Candidates who are appearing for the final year exam for D.Ed or B.Ed can also apply.  

For Upper Primary Teachers (Class VI to VIII):

  • The candidate must complete relevant and applicable Bachelor's with 50% marks (45% for reserved categories)
  • The candidate must have completed a Diploma in Teacher Education (D.Ed) or Graduation in Teacher Education (B.Ed) with pass marks. 
  • Candidates pursuing the final year in D.Ed or B.Ed can also apply and appear for the exam. 

Age Limit

Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.

Citizenship

Candidates must be a citizen of India.

MAHA TET Exam Pattern 2021

  • Child Development and Pedagogy: Child Development and Pedagogy will consist of concepts on child development, understanding, education psychology, and teaching methodologies. There will be portions on special needs, teaching methods, evaluation, and study processes of students aged 6-11. 
  • Language-I: For this section, candidates have to choose a language amongst Hindi, Marathi, English, Urdu, Bengali, Gujarati, Telugu, and Kannada. This section's syllabus includes inference, pedagogy of language development, verbal ability, grammar, comprehension, and reading unseen passages.
  • Language II: For this section, candidates have to choose a language between English or Marathi. This section's syllabus includes inference, pedagogy of language development, verbal ability, grammar, comprehension, and reading unseen passages.
  • Mathematics: The syllabus for Mathematics includes basic mathematics, logic, problem-solving, pedagogical knowledge of mathematics, the key concepts are geometry, shapes and spatial arrangements, solids, addition and subtraction, and pedagogy. It also includes playing with numbers, knowing our numbers, whole numbers, symmetry, profit and loss, number system, negative numbers and integers, and algebra.
  • Environmental Studies: environmental studies syllabus includes concepts from the air, water, parts of the body, habitats, natural resources, solar system, food resources, care, family and friends, general science, things we make and do, and the environment in general.
  • Science: The syllabus for this section includes topics such as food, components of food, sources of food, materials. air, materials of daily use, molecules, water, cleaning food, change of matter, and soil
