HTET Cut Off 2021 for Level 1, 2 & 3

The cut-off for the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test according to the respective category is mentioned below. The cut-off is explained based on the Level candidates choose to sit in the examination for. Level-1 is for Primary teacher(PRT), Level-2 is Trained graduate teacher(TGT) and Level-3 is for Postgraduate Teacher(PGT)

Importance of HTET Certificate

Candidates appearing for HTET must be aware that the HTET certificate is the minimum eligibility to get a teaching job in Haryana schools. That means after clearing the HTET 2021, you are eligible to become a government teacher in Haryana. The HTET certificate will allow the candidate to apply for vacancies released by schools of Haryana, the State Government, or the Local Authority. Some points to reflect the importance of the HTET certificate:-

  • According to the Haryana Board of Basic Education, an HTET certificate is the minimum eligibility for getting a government teaching job.
  • In the recruitment process, many Privates Institute also prefer or give preference to the HTET qualified candidates.
  • HTET qualified teacher becomes eligible to apply in both regular/contractual teacher jobs recruitments.
  • After clearing HTET there better chances of becoming a government teacher.

HTET Certificates Qualifying Criteria

The candidates who appeared in HTET will be issued a mark sheet. Here are some factors that you should understand that will help you in the future.

  • Questions in the question paper will be in MCQ(Multiple Choice) form/Objective Type.
  • The examination will be held offline.
  • The Candidates securing 60% marks for the general category and 55% marks for SC and differently-abled candidates will be issued an eligibility certificate.
  • There will be there different exams for Level-1, 2, and 3 for PRT, TGT, and PGT respectively.

The selection process will be based on the basis of Written examination, personal interview, and some experience in the field of teaching. The marks distribution and the weight of the mark are also explained.

HTET Certificate Validity

HTET certificate validity will be for seven years. The candidates achieving the HTET validity will be able to apply for the teacher jobs for the next seven years. The HTET certificate validity will be the same for all the category applicants. HTET validity is extended, earlier the validity was for five years which is now seven years. Also, there are no restrictions on the number of attempts for giving HTET.

HTET Cut Off FAQs

  • HTET Certificate is now valid for a lifetime.

  • The qualifying score is different for different categories. A general category candidate has to score 60% (90 out of 150 marks) to qualify.

  • Qualifying HTET exam does not guarantee a job, the exam is conducted to check the eligibility of the candidates for teaching.
