U.P. Secondary Education Service Selection Board (UPSESSB) has published an official vacancy notification for the post of UP TGT & PGT teacher. A total of 15198 vacancies of TGT and PGT teacher has been announced. The online registration for UPSESSB TGT & PGT 2021 registration started from 16th March 2021 to 15th April 2021. UP TGT & PGT 2021 Exam Pattern
Important Highlights for TGT Exam2021
1. Question Paper will be of 500 marks.
2. A total number of questions in the Question Paper will be 125.
3. Each question will be of 4 marks.
4.All questions are mandatory to attempt.
5. Time duration of the exam will be 2 hours.
6. All question will be in MCQ(Multiple Choice Question) form with 4 options.
7. As the paper will be in an offline mode so candidates need to circle the right answer via a black ball pen in the OMR sheet.
8. On the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in the written exam merit list will be prepared and the candidate will be selected on the basis of their names in the merit list.
Important Highlights for PGT Exam 2021
1. PGT exam will be of 500 marks outbreak of 500 marks
- The written exam will be 425 marks
- Education Qualification weightage will be 50 marks
- Special Qualification (PhD, M.Ed., B.Ed., participated in the sports team state level) will be 25 marks.

4. Time duration of the exam will be 2 hours.

How to use the OMR sheet?
OMR stands for Optical Mark Recognition where the correct option is marked by filling the circle with a black/blue ballpoint pen. As the UP TGT & PGT examination is offline and pen-paper based, the OMR sheet serves the purpose of marking the answers.
Note: The sheet should be clean and shouldn't have any fold, any stray mark on the OMR sheet or writings on the undesirable spaces.
1. The OMR sheet will be placed inside the sealed answer-booklet and should only be taken out after the invigilator announcement.
2. Candidates should fill in the options as specified in the instructions. Candidates will have to write their Roll Number in the specified space in the OMR sheet and not anywhere else.
3. The OMR sheet has two sides, one for each paper. You will find the following columns that are intended to be filled by the candidates on side-1:
- Roll Number of the candidate
- Name of the candidate
- Father's name
- Mother's name
- Name of the exam centre
- Exam centre number
- the subject was chosen in paper-II(if applicable)
4. On side-2, candidates will be required to fill:
- roll number
- main test booklet number
- language supplement booklet number(other than Hindi/English)
- language supplement booklet number(other than Hindi/English)
- the subject was chosen in paper-II (if applicable)
- language in which the questions are attempted
- signature.
