IIFT Selection Process 2023: Shortlisting Criteria, Final Admission Process, Seat Intake

Admission to the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade IIFT Campuses for MBA programmes is a three-stage process. IIFT Selection Process involves the IIFT Exam, Written Ability Test (WAT), General Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview rounds. Apart from these parameters, the interviewers also consider Academic Consistency, Academic Diversity, Gender Diversity, and Work Experience (if any). The IIFT Selection Process 2023 encompasses the entire process, from the IIFT 2023 to the final outcome of the selected candidates for IIFT Admission. Apart from the entrance examination, which NTA is presently administering, the IIFT is in charge of the entire admissions selection process. The following are the steps in the IIFT Admission Process 2023:

The first step is to fill up the IIFT Application Form 2023 for MBA (IB)-full-time programme. For this, visit the official website of IIFT- iift.ac.in

• Click on the registration tab and fill up all the required credentials
• Then, fill out the IIFT Registration Form 2023 and finally submit it by making a payment
• Appear for the IIFT Exam on the particular examination date. Once the exam is over, you must wait around three to four weeks for the IIFT Result.

The candidates are shortlisted based on IIFT Cut Off, including the sectional cut-offs.

• The percentile is also decided based on the number of candidates to be shortlisted as per the availability of seats.

Shortlisted candidates must appear for the WAT-GD and PI rounds, respectively.

Written Ability Test Round

The WAT round is mainly conducted to evaluate students' comprehension power of the given topic. The candidates have to write an essay on the particular topic given to them. It also tests candidates' skills in presenting and expressing their ideas. Check previous years' IIFT Analysis.

Group Discussion Round

The candidates have to discuss the particular topic given to them. They are divided into groups. The main purpose of this round is to check the candidate's leadership, oral communication, team player, and ability to make someone come around to his/her own point of view. Personal Interview Round

This round is conducted to analyze the overall personality skills, confidence level, the analytical performance of the candidate. The questions are asked related to education, extra-curricular activities, work experience, etc., but the main focus of the authority is to assess the candidate's communication skills.
