IIFT Selection Process 2023 will be conducted for all the candidates who will clear the cut-off. IIFT Selection Procedure is the last stage of the selection process, and if you are shortlisted in it, only then you will get the opportunity for final admission. IIFT Selection Process 2023

Admission to the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade IIFT Campuses for MBA programmes is a three-stage process. It involves the IIFT Exam, Written Ability Test (WAT), General Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview rounds. Apart from these parameters, the interviewers also consider Academic Consistency, Academic Diversity, Gender Diversity, and Work Experience (if any). The candidates can easily walk into any of the three campuses of IIFT by just clearing these stages. IIFT generally conducts its exam in the month of November-December. The IIFT Selection Procedure 2023 encompasses the entire process, from the IIFT 2023 to the final outcome of the selected candidates for IIFT Admission. Apart from the entrance examination, which is presently being administered by NTA, the IIFT is in-charge of the entire admissions selection process. The following are the steps in the IIFT Admission Process 2023:

Online Registration for IIFT Selection Procedure

The first step is to fill up the IIFT Application Form 2023 for MBA (IB)-full-time programme. For this, visit the official website of IIFT- iift.ac.in

  • Click on the registration tab and fill up all the required credentials
  • Then, fill out the IIFT Registration Form 2023 and finally submit it by making a payment
  • Appear for the IIFT Exam on the particular examination date. Once the exam is over, you have to wait around three-four weeks for the IIFT Result.
  • Note: The application form is yet to come for the academic year 2022-24. We’ll soon update you as soon as the IIFT 2023 Form will be released.

IIFT Admission Process Stage 1: Shortlisting Process

The candidates are shortlisted on the basis of IIFT Cut Off including the sectional cut-offs. 

  • Along with that, the percentile is decided based on the number of candidates to be shortlisted as per the availability of seats

IIFT Selection Process Stage 2: WAT-GD-PI Round

The shortlisted candidates have to appear for the WAT-GD and PI rounds respectively

Written Ability Test Round

WAT round is mainly conducted to evaluate students’ comprehension power of the given topic. The candidates have to write an essay on the particular topic given to them. It also tests candidates’ skills in presenting and expressing their ideas. Check previous years' IIFT Analysis.

Group Discussion Round

The candidates have to discuss the particular topic given to them. They are divided into groups. The main purpose of this round is to check the candidate’s leadership skills, oral communication skills, team player skills, and the ability to make someone come around to his/her own point of view. Personal Interview Round

This round is conducted to analyze the overall personality skills, confidence level, the analytical performance of the candidate. The questions are asked related to education, extra-curricular activities, work experience, etc., but the main focus is on accessing the communication skills of the candidate. FAQs on IIFT Selection Process

  • IIFT Selection Process is conducted by IIFT Delhi for admission to MBA (IB) courses offered by all 3 campuses- Delhi, Kolkata, and Kakinada. However, IIFT Exam is conducted by NTA. 

  • The candidates have to cross three stages of the IIFT Admission Process for getting admission MBA (IB) Programme. First, qualify for the written IIFT Exam. Then, you have to appear for the Written Ability Test (WAT), General Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI) rounds, respectively. 

  • Candidates who meet the minimum cut-off criteria will be shortlisted for participation in Essay/ Extempore/ GD/ PI rounds. The parameters considered for IIFT Selection Process include IIFT exam score, class 10th and 12th scores, and academic qualifications. All the parameters will be assigned different weightage.

  • For IIFT 2023-2025 batch, IIFT Admission Process will be conducted to fill 571 seats. The seat intake for all the 3 campuses is mentioned below:
