Educational Qualification for IIFT Eligibility

Candidates are advised to go through IIFT Selection Criteria before applying for the exam. Because, If you fail to meet the basic requirements of IIFT Exam Eligibility, the authority will cancel your candidature under any circumstances.   • The candidates must have 3-years of Bachelor's Degree in any stream from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% for reserved category, including SC/ST/OBC/PWD).
  • The final year candidates can also apply for this exam, but they have to submit their proof of education within the stipulated time mentioned by the exam authority.

IIFT Age Limit

As per the official IIFT Exam Eligibility details, there is no upper age limit for appearing for this exam. Candidates who wish to apply for IIFT 2023 must just check the other eligibility details very carefully as there are no limitations on the maximum age. IIFT MBA Eligibility: Other Requirements 

NTA has not defined any prior work experience criteria for IIFT Eligibility. So, it is not compulsory to have work experience to fill out IIFT 2022 Registration Form. But, work experience may play a larger influence in the IIFT Selection Criteria.

IIFT Eligibility Criteria 2023 For Foreign Nationals

The IIFT MBA Criteria are different for Foreign candidates. So, the candidates applying for the upcoming IIFT Exam in the NRI quota must check all the details to avoid last minutes cancellation of their candidature. 

  • The candidate needs to be an international candidate to apply to the IIFT Exam. Besides, a candidate should have been (expected to be) a resident outside India for a period of not less than 18 months and be outside India during the IIFT Exam Process. 
  • A certificate is required from the Indian Embassy / High Commission /Consulate of the country where the candidate is currently based, stating that the candidate has been resident in that country continuously for a period of not less than 18 months as of the prescribed date.   • GMAT (Graduate Management Aptitude Test ) score of the candidate is required, which should be received by Institute. 
  • However, if Foreign candidates are residing in India during IIFT Exam, then will have to qualify for this IIFT Eligibility also.

  • Children of NRIs and NRI-Sponsored candidates are not considered under this category. 
  • The candidate must possess and carry a valid passport from a country other than India, as identity proof, to the centre of examination.

GMAT Score Card

The candidates have to submit the latest copy of the GMAT Score Card. 

Undertaking Letter

An undertaking letter that the candidates have not appeared for any MBA Entrance Exams for that year, such as CAT/ XAT/ IIFT, etc.

Letters of Recommendation

Submit 2 copies of the recommendation letter. Preferably one by a current supervisor or manager and another by someone who is in a position to evaluate the candidate's professional performance, managerial, and leadership potential. 

Certificate of Residence

Indian nationals staying in foreign countries need to submit a certificate issued by the Indian Embassy of the present country stating that the candidate has been resident in that country continually or for a period of not less than 18 months as on the specified date.

IIFT Exam Eligibility 2023 for Scholarship Application

IIFT provides need-based scholarships, with the interest subsidy on their education loan being paid for 27 months from the time the loan is taken out.

  • This scholarship scheme is open to any student who has taken out debt and whose family income is less than INR 4,50,000 per year.
  • Every year, the amount of an education loan is adjusted based on tuition fees and other expenses. Download IIFT Admit Card from the official website.
  • Candidates can learn more about all of the scholarship schemes given by the Government of India by visiting the national scholarship portal at scholarships.gov.in.
  • If a student fails any exam during his or her MBA IB programme, his or her scholarship will be automatically terminated.
