IIFT Eligibility Criteria 2022 Overview

For MBA aspirants, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has established IIFT eligibility. Before filling out the IIFT application form, candidates must read the IIFT eligibility criteria 2022. A minimum of three years Bachelor's degree in graduating from a recognised university is required to meet the basic IIFT 2022 qualifying criterion. The applicants are advised to go through the eligibility criteria guidelines carefully before registering for IIFT 2022 exam. The eligibility criteria for IIFT differs for foreign and Indian Nationals. The IIFT 2022 eligibility criteria include details about the age limit, educational qualification, reservation policy and more. 

Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT ) is a National Level exam conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency ) for admission into IIFT Delhi, Kolkata and Kakinada campuses. IIFT 2022 Eligibility: Other criteria

Candidates who intend to apply for the IIFT exam do not have to be of a certain age. NTA, the accrediting organisation, has not set an age limit for the MBA (IB) programme.

Candidates do not need to have prior work experience to fill out the IIFT 2022 application form, according to IIFT eligibility. Work experience, on the other hand, may play a larger influence in the IIFT selection criteria 2021

IIFT 2022 Eligibility Criteria For Foreign Nationals

The IIFT MBA eligibility criteria differ for the Foreign Nationals. The following is the Educational Criteria of Foreign Nationals seeking admission in IIFT.

  • The candidate needs to be an international candidate for applying to the IIFT entrance exam, a candidate should have been (expected to be) resident outside India for a period of not less than 18 months and be outside India during the IIFT examination window. 
  •  A certificate is required from the Indian Embassy / High Commission /Consulate of the country where the candidate is currently based, stating that the candidate has been resident in that country continuously for a period of not less than 18 months as of December 31, 2021
  • GMAT (Graduate Management Aptitude Test ) score of the candidate is required which should be received by Institute Latest by March 2021. 
  • The candidate will not be eligible to apply if he/she has appeared for any MBA entrance examination for that year in India such as CAT /XAT /IIFT, etc.
  • Children of NRIs and NRI-Sponsored candidates are not considered under this category. 
  • The candidate must possess and carry a valid passport from a country other than India, as identity proof, to the centre of examination

IIFT Selection Criteria 2022: Scholarship

IIFT provides need-based scholarships, with the interest subsidy on their education loan being paid for 27 months from the time the loan is taken out.

  • This scholarship scheme is open to any student who has taken out debt and whose family income is less than INR 4,50,000 per year.
  • Every year, the amount of an education loan is adjusted based on tuition fees and other expenses.
  • Candidates can learn more about all of the scholarship schemes given by the Government of India by visiting the national scholarship portal at scholarships.gov.in.
  • If a student fails any exam during his or her MBA IB programme, his or her scholarship will be automatically terminated.

  • No, IIFT does not require Work experience. However, there are no negatives in having work experience.

  • No, IIFT does not accept CAT score. It has its own entrance exam and selection process.

  • Yes, the criteria differ for the Indian and Foreign nationals. It differs as the Foreign nationals are required to have a valid GMAT score along with the required documents.

  •  The admission process for IIFT includes the national level entrance exam followed by the GD-PI WAT. The selection criteria include performance in GD-PI -WAT. Factors like academics and work experience are also included.

  • Yes, IIFT has a reservation policy for OBC along with SC, ST ,GEN-EWS and PwD. The reservation percentage is as follows:
    OBC (Non creamy)- 27%
    SC-15 %
    Gen EWS- 10%
    ST -7.5 %
    PwD- 5 % ( with 40%  or more disability)

  • To get admission to IIFT Delhi, one needs to appear for IIFT national exam and then clear the GD-PI-WAT round. Factors like academic consistency and work experience also carry weightage.

  • The eligibility criteria of IIFT differs for both Indian nationals and Foreign nationals. Age is not a constraint . In terms of educational eligibility ,the candidate must have secured 50 % marks in a min 3 year Recognized Graduation degree. Also Final year students can apply.
