Note: Each section consists of 25 questions One mark will be awarded for every right answer and 0.25 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Note: There will be no sectional cut off marks in the test, but candidates need to clear an overall cut off.

Selection Process

Recruitment selection is based on the order of merit based on candidates results in the Written Test, qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and medical examination fitness

Recruitment selection will be made on basis of the State-wise merit of candidates computer-based examination results, subject to qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and medical examination fitness

Medical Standards:

  1. The medical test will be conducted as per medical standards given in current regulations applicable to sailors on entry.
  2. Minimum height 157 cms. Weight and Chest should be proportionate. Minimum chest expansion of 5 cms.
  3. Final Medical Examination for all selected candidates will be done at one of the following centres INS Chilka, Odisha. Medically unfit candidates, will not be registered for training in the academy. Note:-No “Appeal” is permitted for a review after the final enrollment is done.
