Dear Aspirants,
Indian Institute of Foreign Trade has released the notification for IIFT 2017 along with the application form on 15 July 2016. The candidates interested in pursuing MBA (International Business) from this Institute at its New Delhi & Kolkata campus can apply for the same now. The application procedure is through online as well as offline mode. As per the notification, the written test for admission to MBA (IB) 2017-19 will be conducted on 27 November 2016.
In this article, we bring you some of the very important details about the exam covered in the notification.
ELIGIBILITY
The candidate applying for the exam must have
- Recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline.
- Candidate appearing in the final year examination of Graduation can also apply subject to submission of proof of requisite qualification by next year 7th October 2017.
Note: There is no age limit to appear for this exam.
IMPORTANT DATES
RESERVATION OF SEATS
Seats are reserved as per Government of India rules. The reservations are subject to candidates meeting the admission requirement of the Institute under different categories.
REGISTRATION FEE
The application fee can be paid by both online modes (Credit Card/DD) or in cash at the IIFT Counter at Delhi or Hyderabad. The DD must be drawn in favour of “Indian Institute of Foreign Trade”, payable at New Delhi.
The application fee charged is as follows:
- For General/OBC candidates – Rs. 1550/-
- For SC/ST/PH candidates – Rs. 775/-
- For Foreign National/NRI/Children of NRI candidates – US$80 (INR Rs. 4500)
Note: The candidates who will be requesting to receive the application form through post will be required to make the payment of application fee through DD only.
TEST CENTERS
Written Test will be held on SUNDAY 27th November 2016 during 10.00AM – 12.00Noon. The test cities where the exam will be conducted are:
Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur and Visakhapatnam.
Note: IIFT reserves the right to add/delete any centre if required.
MODE OF EXAMINATION
Selection will be on the basis of Written Test, Group Discussion, Essay Writing and Interview. Based on the marks of Written Test, a limited number of candidates will be invited for the second phase of selection process comprising Group Discussion, Essay Writing and Interview to be held at Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai.
