How to Score 220+ Marks in AFCAT 2023 Exam?

Before starting preparation you must know about the AFCAT syllabus and exam pattern. AFCAT consists of 100 questions with three marks each and there is a negative marking of 1 mark on each wrong answer. It consists of four different sections (G.K., Mathematics, Reasoning, English). The test is for two hours. There is no sectional cut off in the AFCAT exam.

  • Antonyms and Synonyms
  • Memorize Basic English Grammar rules to solve marking wrong parts in sentences
  • Idioms and phrases
  • Comprehension passage related

You can cover the above topics by practicing at least two passages daily, practicing misspelt words, practicing at least 20 antonyms - synonyms daily, practice at least 20 idioms and phrases. this way you can score at least 60 marks easily by solving 20 questions correctly.

Mathematics:

From this section, approximately 18 questions come in the exam out of which a student can attempt 11 questions easily and score 33 marks easily. For scoring in this section, you need to cover some important topics

  • Work and Time
  • Speed, Distance and Time
  • Simple and Compound Interest
  • Percentage
  • Algebra, LCM, HCF
  • Averages and Number systems

This section needs a lot of practice, you need to remember basic formulas, you need to make your problem-solving tricks, and also do time management. This way you can score good marks in this section also.

General Knowledge:

This section has its significance which makes a great difference in your marks. This section needs much less time for solving questions and can make a huge change in your score. As the syllabus of G.K. is vast and it is difficult to remember that. So there is no need to cover all the topics of the syllabus. You can cover these topics

  •     Various cups and trophies associated with sports

  •     Important defense-related acquisitions
