There is a total of 8 papers conducted by UPPSC in the Mains Exam. All the candidate who has cleared the prelims examination appeared for this level. The preliminary examination was conducted on 24th October 2021. The UPPSC PCS Exam recruitment process includes the three phases i.e.

- The format of the UPPSC prelims exam is MCQ Type.
- The UPPSC PCS Preliminary exam consists of two papers, i.e. (a) General Studies: Paper-I (b) General Studies: Paper-II

Note:
- General Studies-II Paper is qualifying in nature. There are 33 % of marks required to qualify for the UPPSC Prelims examination.

- The UPPSC Main exam is Subjective Type.
- The UPPSC Main exam consists of Total Eight Papers.
