UP SI & ASI 2021 Eligibility Criteria: Education Qualification

For UP Sub-Inspector of Police (Confidential)

• Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized university
• Should have a Hindi typing speed of 25 WPM & English typing speed of 30 WPM
• Also, should be able to type 8 WPM in Stenographer Hindi and passed ‘O’ level certificate in DOEACC/ NIELIT

For UP Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police (Clerk)

• Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized university or institute
• Candidate should have a Hindi typing speed of 25 WPM and English typing speed of 30 WPM and passed ‘O’ level certificate in DOEACC/ NIELIT

For UP Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police (Accounts)

• Candidates should have a graduation degree in accounts or commerce
• Candidates need to have a typing speed of 15 WPM and must have obtained ‘O’ level certificate in DOEACC/ NIELIT

UP SI & ASI 2021 Eligibility Criteria: Nationality

• Candidate applying for UP SI & ASI should fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
• Must be a citizen of India OR
• A Tibetan refugee who moved to India before 1962, to settle down permanently in India
• A person with Indian origin who has moved from Burma, Pakistan, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Zambia, Ethiopia, Zaire, and Vietnam with intention of settling down permanently in India OR
• A subject of Bhutan or Nepal

UP SI & ASI 2021 Eligibility Criteria: Age Limit

As per the notification, the candidate’s age must be between 21 and 28 years. He/ she must have achieved 21 years of age as on July 01, 2021 and not born before July 01, 1993 and not after July 01, 2000. However, candidates will be provided age relaxation as per government norms. The details regarding the age relaxation are provided in the table mentioned below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of the UPPBPB board viz. uppbpb.gov.in

Step 2: If you have not registered yourself previously, then click on ‘Candidate’s Registration’ which is present on the left side of the panel

Step 3: Fill in the necessary details in the application form

Step 4: You will get an application id and password on your registered email id and mobile number

Step 5: Login using the details provided

Step 6: Enter your education qualification and personal details (as necessary)

Step 7: Upload the photograph and signature. The dimension and size should fulfil the criteria mentioned in the application viz. photo & signature size 20 KB to 50 KB and photo dimension 35 mm (1.4 inches) * 45 mm (1.75 inches)

Step 8: Pay the application fee online via debit card/ credit card/ net banking

Step 9: Verify all the details displayed and click the ‘Submit’ button once done

The application fee for General/ OBC candidates is 400 Rs and SC/ ST/ Female candidates is 100 Rs

UP Police SI & ASI Exam follows a 3-stage selection process, the details for which are listed below:
