MP TET Marking Scheme

According to the MPTET exam pattern, 1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer whereas there is a provision for negative marking in the exam conducted for High School teachers and Middle School teachers. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer or 1 mark will be deducted for four wrong answers. On the other hand, there is no negative marking in the Primary Teacher examination.

  • Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) releases the MPTET exam pattern for Varg 1, 2, and 3 for the examination of Primary, Middle School, and High School teachers.

  • The MPTET Primary Teacher exam pattern is divided into two parts: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 consists of 150 questions covering Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1, Language 2, Environmental Studies, and Mathematics for a total of 150 marks. Paper 2 includes 150 questions for 1 mark each in Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1, Language 2, Science & Maths OR Social Science.

  • In Paper 1 there are 5 sections wherein each section comprises 30 questions for 30 marks whereas Paper 2 has 4 sections in which 90 questions are asked from Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1, and Language 2, and 60 questions are asked from the Science & Maths OR Social Science section.

  • There is no negative marking in the MPTET Primary level exam; however, 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer or 1 mark will be deducted for four incorrect answers in the MPTET Middle School and High School exam.
