MPTET eligibility is formulated by the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB). Candidates interested in taking the exam should meet the eligibility criteria to apply for the exam.

MPTET eligibility criteria should be fulfilled by candidates who want to write the exam. It is the first and foremost requirement for all candidates. They must go through the complete MP TET eligibility to understand each parameter that is crucial to apply for the exam. Educational qualification, age limit, minimum percentage, etc. are some conditions that are included in the eligibility criteria.

MPTET Varg 3 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who want to secure a Primary Teacher job through MPTET should fulfill the Varg 3 eligibility criteria. Without meeting the eligibility criteria, no candidate can apply for the exam. Check out the details on MPTET Varg 3 eligibility criteria below.

MPTET Varg 3 Qualification

  • Higher Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50 marks and a two-year diploma in elementary education or it's equivalent OR
  • Graduates with 50 per cent marks and Bachelors of Education (B.Ed.), an institution recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education OR
  • Higher Secondary or its equivalent with at least 45 per cent marks and two years diploma in Elementary Pedagogy as per National Council of Teacher Education (Recognition, Standards and Procedures) Exchange, 2002 OR
  • Higher Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50 percent marks and a four-year bachelor's degree (B.El.D.) in Elementary Education OR
  • Higher Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50 percent marks and a two-year diploma in Shiksha Shastra (Special Education) OR
  • Graduation Degree and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education or its equivalent.

MPTET Varg 2 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who are interested in teaching for the upper primary level i.e. Classes 6 to 8 must meet the MPTET varg 2 eligibility criteria. The educational qualification and percentage required prescribed in the MPTET varg 2 eligibility are as follows.

The eligibility criteria for Varg 2 is released for subject teachers, sports teachers, music teachers, etc.

Higher Secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks, and Diploma in Musical Instruments or BMus/ M.Mus or equivalent with BMus

Higher Secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks, and Diploma in Dance or BMus Dance/ M.Mus Dance or equivalent with BMus Dance

MPTET Varg 1 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who want to be a High School Teacher must hold the required degree to submit the MPTET application form. They must go through the complete in order to reduce the chances of disqualification at the later stages.

MPTET Varg 1 Qualifications

Candidates must possess the following educational qualifications to be eligible to contest the exam.

  • Master's Degree / Post Graduation Degree in the concerned subject and B.Ed or its equivalent.
  • For Sanskrit, the minimum qualification would be Acharya's degree in Sanskrit Literature/Grammar in second class from a recognized University. Also B.Ed is compulsory.

MPTET Age Limit

According to the MP TET age limit, the minimum age of a candidate to apply for the exam is 21 years as of 01 January 2023. On the other hand, there is no maximum age limit for candidates to apply for the exam.

MPTET Nationality

Candidates who are Indian citizens are eligible to take the exam. Any candidate not having Indian citizenship is not eligible. However, to claim reservation benefits, the candidate must be a citizen of the state of Madhya Pradesh. Candidates belonging to other states will be treated as general category candidates.

  • MPTET eligibility is the minimum requirement that a candidate must fulfill before applying for the exam. It is prescribed by the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) considering the nature of the exam.

  • As per the MPTET age limit criteria, the minimum age to apply for the exam is 21 years. It means a candidate of 21 years or more than that can appear in the exam. 

  • MPTET varg 1 eligibility, candidates should have completed graduation along with B.Ed. or Diploma in Elementary Education from a recognized institute or university.

  • MPTET Varg 2 eligibility criteria states that a candidate who have complete Graduation in the concerned subject with a minimum 50% along with B.Ed. can contest the exam.

  • MPTET Varg 1 eligibility criteria is released for High School Teachers. Candidates possessing Master's Degree / Post Graduation Degree in the concerned subject and B.Ed or its equivalent can apply for the exam.
