OAVS Eligibility Criteria 2022: Age Limit, Educational Qualifications

Only those candidates who possess the required OAVS Teaching Eligibility Criteria 2020 such as educational qualification, age limit, etc can appear for the recruitment process.

The basic OAVS Eligibility Criteria for the post of Principal, TGT, PGT, PET, and Computer Teacher comprises of the following. The following eligibility criteria are common to all posts.

(a) You must be a Citizen of India 

(b) You must be of sound mind

(c) You must not be having more than one spouse living

The other basic eligibility criteria for OAVS Teacher Recruitment that has to be fulfilled by every candidate are as follows:

(a) You must have passed MIL Odia up to ME standard.

(b)  If you have not passed Odia up to M.E Standard even then you can apply, but you have to pass the examination (Odia upto M.E Standard) conducted by BSE, Odisha, Cuttack within three years from the date of joining.

(c) Knowledge of Computer Application is desirable.

(d) You must have proficiency in teaching both in Odia and English medium.

(e) Age Limit will be calculated as on 01.09.2020.

(f) If you have a special B. Ed or D.Ed then you are not eligible for the post of PGTs or TGTs or any other post.

Educational Qualification

The following are the eligibility criteria for all the posts of OAVS TGT post.

You should have completed four years integrated Degree course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate(45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC candidates); 

OR

You must have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts & Science in the concerned subjects with 50% in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC candidates) along with a degree in Bachelor in Education (a course prescribed by the NCTE) from an Institution recognized by the NCTE and affiliated to a recognized University.

Educational Qualification

The eligibility criteria for a Physical Education Teacher for OAVS is given below.

You should have obtained a Degree/Post Graduate Degree in Physical Education i.e. B.P.Ed./M.P.Ed. (a course prescribed by NCTE) from a recognized University/Institution.

Educational Qualification

The post of Computer Teacher will be purely on a Contractual basis. You must fulfil the given below:

• You should have obtained a B.E./ B.Tech. in Computer Science or I.T./MCA/M.Sc. I.T/ M.Sc. Computer Science from a recognized University. OR
• You should have obtained ‘B’ Level of DOEACC / NIELIT in Computer Science from a recognized University. OR 
• You should have obtained B.C.A/B.Sc. in Computer Science from a recognized University.
