Right Source is Very Important - Kuldeep Sharma (Cleared CAPF AC 2021)

My name is Kuldeep Sharma I am from a small town in Bharatpur district in Rajasthan. I have completed my basic education from my hometown. I have completed my graduation from Chemical Engineering from NIT Jaipur in 2020. 

My Inspiration to CAPF

I am from a civilian family, My mother and father are teacher. But when it comes to my extended family, My Uncle is an officer in Indian Army. Whenever I see his lifestyle, his job profile that provides a great opportunity to serve the country inspirer me a lot. 

Preference in CAPF?

My first preference is Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), 2nd is Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), 3rd is Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP)

Subjects in 12th Class

My parents want me to be a doctor but I was more inclined to Mathematics, In my 11th & 12th class I opted for both Maths and Biology and finally on I cleared JEE exam and got admission into NIT Jaipur.

My Preparation Strategy

I was very clear about my aim in my college days, I started preparation from my college days only. Because of COVID-19 lockdown, the exam was postponed a little but I got some extra time for the preparation and moreover my target was set along the roadmap I need to follow right from the beginning. I marked my weak and strong areas with time required to cover the topics.

Important tips for GK that one should keep in mind

I didn't read any book cover to cover, like I read only the topics that were required to clear CAPF AC Exam, like in case of Indian Polity I referred M. Laxmikanth but I marked the important topics and read them, made notes and revise them 5-6 times. For Modern History I read Spectrum, For Indian Economics I go through Macro and Micro Economics NCERTs. I followed the selective study pattern for each and every subject.

Tips for Paper 2 

Essay Writing, Arguments and Report writing covers the major section of Paper 2, for them you must go through daily newspaper, monthly current affairs compilation. For this also I followed selective approach. I selected 25-30 topics that were recently in news and there was a probability of question being asked from them. I prepared short notes for topics like this that included facts, opinion, data for them.
