IIM Bodh Gaya is one of the foremost institutes of Management Education in India. It is the only Institute in Bihar. The Institute was established in 2015 by an Act of the Bihar Legislative Assembly to improve further the quality of Management Education in this remote region.

The main objective of the Institute is "to provide high-quality education in management for building a better society".

The Institute offers Master of Business Administration (MBA) and it stands as its flagship program.

Admission to the programmes offered at IIM BG is strictly based on merit through the applicable entrance exams considered by IIMBG. The entrance exam considered includes Common Admission Test (CAT) for the MBA programme (domestic candidates), Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) for international candidates.

The Need-Based Financial Assistance would be given to the candidates who are eligible for financial aid at the time of admission. The Financial Assistance is provided only to the candidates offered admission to the MBA program on the basis of their overall profile and performance in CAT.

The Financial Assistance would be distributed in two instalments. The first instalment would be disbursed shortly after the commencement of the Academic Session, which is generally in May/June every year. The second instalment would follow during December after the completion of Third Term Examinations.

The amount of Financial Assistance to each candidate shall not exceed an amount equal to or close to the Tuition Fee during that Academic Year.

There are over 100 full-time MBA students at IIM Bodh Gaya. All these students are under one roof in the beautiful, sprawling campus in the picturesque place of Bodh Gaya. The campus provides ample opportunities for students to interact and network with each other.

The academic block has classrooms equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, an auditorium for interactive sessions and a study room for individual students. It is supplemented by an adequate number of computer labs with over 100 computers; one computer is provided to every student. A language lab with state-of-the-art audio-video equipment has also been made available to students.
