IIM Bodh Gaya Admission Criteria 2021

For 2021-2022, the total intake of students for MBA, Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), and Post Graduate Programme in HRD (PGP-HRD) courses are 1076, 60, and 60, respectively.

The minimum requirements are as follows:

  • A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade in any discipline from a recognized university is mandatory for appearing for CAT/GMAT.
  • The candidates who have done graduation exams with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade are also eligible to appear for an entrance examination conducted by IIM Bodh GAYA itself.
  • For the postgraduate diploma courses, the candidate must be an undergraduate with a minimum of 50% or equivalent grade.
  • For PGP-HRD, the candidate must have completed their PGDM from IIM Bodh GAYA.

IIM Bodh Gaya Eligibility:

The CAT is a standardized test used for admission into management schools in India. It is a computer-based test conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and other top B-schools.

The CAT score is the minimum eligibility criteria for the following courses:

  • Accountancy & Taxation, Analytics & Operations Research, Applied Management, Finance, Marketing & International Business.
  • National test scores are the minimum eligibility criteria for the following courses:
  • Human Resource Management, Strategy & Organization Design.

The NBFA Committee will consider the following factors while deciding the quantum of financial assistance to be awarded:

  • Participants who have secured admission through NIRF Ranking will be given a higher weightage. The weightage for performance in CAT/GMAT/JIPMAT will be 100%. In the case of GD & PI, the weightage will be 50% for top performers. However, in case a participant has not taken any of the above tests, the Institute reserves the right to take a call on considering other parameters if deemed fit.
  • Participants from rural and disadvantaged regions will be given a higher weightage. This may include financial, social, or disadvantage due to gender, caste, or creed. To assess this, participants must submit their current Income Tax Returns and their application form. The details provided should include Income Tax Returns for the last two years and copies of Income Tax Assessment Orders for at least two years.
  • In general, scholarships are offered to candidates who scored an average of 60% in the qualifying examination (or equivalent).
  • On receipt of applications with all required supporting documents, the Financial Assistance Committee will prepare an online ranking based on merit, as mentioned above.

IIM Bodh Gaya Specialization Selection Process 2021

The following are the requirements for the candidate being eligible for NBFA at IIM Bodh Gaya:

  • A bonafide student of the PGDM programme.
  • Selected based on merit, against a vacancy reserved for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
  • Passed the entrance test conducted by IIM Bodh Gaya or any of the other IIMs or other top-notch B-Schools in India or abroad. The test conducted by other B-schools should be equivalent to the one shown by IIM Bodh Gaya.
  • The candidate should not have applied for financial assistance from any other source, including their family members, relatives, friends, etc.
  • The candidate should not have availed of any other scholarship during their academic career.
  • The candidate should not be pursuing another course simultaneously during the same period.
  • The candidate has to comply with all rules and regulations of IIM Bodh Gaya, apart from fulfilling the admission as mentioned earlier criteria.

IIM Bodh Gaya Finalizing the List of Selected Candidates

The Institute offers postgraduate programmes at the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM). These programmes are designed under the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and the National Council for Accreditation and Assessment (NCAA), New Delhi. All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, the programmes also confer full recognition.

Admission to these programmes is strictly based on merit through a national-level entrance exam conducted by IIMB. The entrance exam is called Common Admission Test (CAT) for the MBA programme, whereas it is called Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) for the PGDM programme. The scores obtained in CAT / GMAT are valid for admission into any IIM across India.

IIM Bodh Gaya Online Interview Rounds

Students are also encouraged to keep in touch with the recruiters by writing to them. The students are sent to the companies through the college bus. Teachers, trainers, and seniors accompany them. The industries covered are IT, Finance, Insurance, Consulting, Marketing & Management. The selection procedure in these companies is carried out in two stages.

The first stage is for written tests in which the students have to appear for aptitude tests and group discussions. The second stage is a personal interview in which the student has to go through behavioural & technical rounds of the interview. Post-campus placements, the students are given six months of training during which they work on projects that the respective companies assign.
