The institute was established in 2015, and it is set up under the mentorship of IIM Calcutta which is the oldest IIM in the country. IIM Bodh Gaya Eligibility:

To become eligible for the admission process of IIM Bodhgaya, candidates are required to appear for the qualifying examination CAT. Common Admission Test or CAT is a standardized test used for admission into management schools in India. It is a computer-based test conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) ), for admission to IIMs and other top B-schools that recognise CAT as a qualifying exam.

The first stage of the admission process is shortlisting candidates for the admission process on the basis of CAT scores. The minimum cut off, both overall and sectional, set for admission to MBA 2022-24 batch, has been provided below. Those meeting the selection criteria will be called for a Personal Interview through the Common Admission Process (CAP 2022).

Those who fail to meet the criteria stated in Table 1 have the option to still apply to IIM BG through SAP 2022, for admission to its MBA program. The criteria that candidates need to meet in order to become eligible to apply is provided below:

Female candidates meeting the criteria as mentioned in Table 3 will be eligible for supernumerary girl seats only. The process for selection will be conducted through SAP 2022.

After an increased focus on placements, IIM Bodh Gaya has achieved a 100% placement record for the batch of 2019-21. With an average salary package of INR. 9.92 LPA, IIM Bodh Gaya's students have been recruited by top recruiters like McKinsey & Co, Hettich India, IndiaMart, QuessCorp, Volvo Eicher, TVS Credit, SBI GI, Tata AIA, Tata Power, Mahindra & Mahindra , BloombergQuint, HSBC Bank, IndusInd Bank, JSW Steel, Dun & Bradstreet India, The Better India, IBM Global Business Services and many more.

In recent years, IIM Bodh Gaya has continuously improved its placement statistics despite being a fairly new institution. In its latest released report, the institute has claimed a 100% placement record for its 2019-20 batch, with a total of 86 companies participating in the Final Placement Process.

The average salary package offered to 100 students stands at INR. 9.92 LPA, while the median package stands at INR. 9.6 LPA. In addition, the highest salary package offered to any student is INR. 17.3 LPA.

IIM Bodh Gaya Hostel Facilities:

IIM Bodh Gaya at present is operational from the transit campus offered by the government at Magadh University. The permanent campus for IIM BG is currently under construction. The hostel accommodation to students is being offered at Magadh University itself. The hostel buildings have been refurnished as per the students’ needs. The current campus offers hostels with amenities such as a basketball court, volleyball court, badminton court etc. The property is equipped with gym, common hall, indoor games such as table tennis, chess carrom etc. Each room is well connected to the Wifi and accommodation is available in both single and double occupancy. Allocation is subject to preference and availability.
