Is globalization harming Nationalism? It is safe to say that we are paying an enormous cost to turn into a piece of the advanced and global world?

Globalization 

Globalization is defined as interaction and integration among people, governments, companies. It is a process driven by international trade and investment and promoted by information technology. Globalization has impacts on the environment, political system, economics, Culture, etc. 

  • Globalization is the best way to improve the trade relations between any two nations. It is the medium to dispense with worldwide trade barriers. 
  • Globalization is about the open correspondence not inside the nation yet over the world. It is joining the world into a solitary element. 
  • Globalization isn't about the cultural imperialism yet about the cultural exchange where the diverse ethnic gatherings from different organizations attempt to know each other's Culture. 
  • People can change their recognition and propensities. It is the effect of globalization. It doesn't instruct them to forgo their Nationalism for the nation. 
  • Economic Nationalism brings forth protectionism that is extremely harmful to the worldwide economy. Furthermore, if all around economy decreases, it will even have a similar effect on the nation. 

Nationalism

Nationalism is an ideology that focuses on loyalty, devotion, or allegiance to a nation or nation-state and holds that such obligations outweigh other individual or group interests.

  • Globalization is decimating the way of life and legacy of various nations and the ethnic gatherings getting by in it. 
  • The greatest negative effect of globalization is seen on the national language. The individuals who impart in mother language, for example, Hindi speakers,  are believed to be backward and uneducated. 
  • West is dominating the world, executing the Nationalism under the shadow of globalization. 
  • Cultural Imperialism is the disadvantage emerging from the globalization that, in a manner, powers the creating nations to follow the thoughts and utilize the products set by the West. 
  • Globalization prompts a higher rate of migration that can negatively affect the social structure of the nation. 

Conclusion

Globalization can decrease the significance of Nationalism, just if the residents of the nation will permit it to occur. Globalization is about the headway; however, in the event that the individuals will befuddle an inappropriate living style with globalization, at that point, they are to blame. Government is taking a shot at improving the exchange relations between different nations and is utilizing the Hindi language for strategic talks, giving an unmistakable message to regard the Nationalism and be a piece of globalization.
