Done with CDS 2 2019? Here's what to do next

Dear Gradians,

The Combined Defence Service Exam was conducted on 8th September 2019 by the UPSC for recruitment of Grade A officers of Armed Forces - Indian Army, Navy & Air Force. We have already shared the CDS exam analysis & expected cut off marks along with the CDS answer key for 2019 exam.

Now one needs to understand the whole selection procedure of CDS 2 2019 exam, in order to prepare well and get shortlisted in the final merit list of the exam. In this article, we shall shed some light on what should be your next steps after CDS 2 2019 exam.

I hope you all must have given your 100% for the exam, and please do not worry about the cut-off marks and trust yourself. Here are some steps that you need to take care of:

1. Start preparing for SSB Interview

SSB Interview is one of the most important hurdles after clearing the cut off marks. we would suggest you not to wait for the results and start preparing for the interview right away. Here are some important tips:

Know about the complete SSB procedure
Know about the OIR Test
Check important Tips for cracking the PPPDT.
Know how to deliver Lecturette
Read Newspapers Daily
Check important interview Tips
Know what is PIQ and its importance
Perform Well in GTO tasks
Prepare Well for Self Description Test
Know how to write Blank Stories Perfectly

2. Focus on Physical Fitness

In recent SSB interviews, many candidates have witnessed that (esp. in Air Force Boards) the assessors are testing the physical efficiency of candidates during the GTO tasks. In addition to this, in the new procedure De Novo, physical fitness has additional marks. So we would suggest you to start preparing for Physical fitness right away. The minimum tasks that you can do are:

Run 1.5 Km each day
Run 5 Km each weekend
15 Push-ups
10 Chin-ups
25 Sit-up

This exercise will help you in achieving optimum fitness level which is required for the SSB interview.
