NCC Special Entry Application Form
On August 17, the Indian Army began online registration for the NCC Special Entry 53 Course. The last date to apply online was 15 September 2022. Candidates who have obtained an NCC C certificate are eligible to fill out the NCC Special Entry Application Form, which will start in April 2023 in OTA Chennai.
How to Apply Online for NCC Special Entry 2022?
Candidates need to know the step-by-step process to fill out the NCC Special Entry 2022 application process to avoid any errors in their application. - Step 1: Visit the official Indian Army website.
- Step 2: After selecting "Officer Entry Application/Login," select "Registration."
- Step 3: After carefully reading the instructions, complete the online registration form.
- Step 4: When the Short Service Commission NCC Special Entry Course is displayed, click "Apply."
- Step 5: The "NCC Special Entry 2022 Application Form" page will load. After carefully reading the instructions, click "Continue" and complete the necessary fields for the various sections.
- Step 6: Candidates must always click "Save & Continue" before moving on to the next section.
- Step 7: After completing the last segment's details, you will be taken to the summary of your information page, where you can review and change the entries that have already been completed.

NCC Special Entry Vacancy 2022
The Indian Armed Forces post vacancies for NCC Special Entry cadets each year. Candidates may join the Indian Army NCC Special Entry Scheme through OTA, Chennai, which offers a total of 55 vacancies. NCC Special Entry Eligibility Criteria
Candidates aspiring to be Indian Army personnel must check and confirm their eligibility before applying for recruitment. NCC Special Entry 2022 eligibility criteria include various criteria and conditions like education, age limit, and other parameters that candidates must fulfil before applying for the NCC Special Entry. NCC Special Entry Educational Qualification
Degree from an accredited university or its equivalent with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 50%. Final-year students are eligible to apply as long as they received at least 50% of their possible points in their respective degree programme's first two/three/four years. NCC Special Entry Age Limit
The age limit of the candidates for NCC Special Entry recruitment should be between 19 to 25 years as of 01 Jul 2022. This means the candidates should be born between 02 Jul 1996 and 01 Jul 2002; both dates are inclusive.
NCC Special Entry Nationality
The specific nationality criteria to apply for the recruitment have also been mentioned in the official notification. To be eligible for NCC Special Entry 2022, a candidate must either be:
- A citizen of India.
- A subject of Nepal.
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and the East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia and Vietnam to permanently settle in India.
Note: The above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. However, a certificate of eligibility will not be necessary in the case of candidates who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal.
NCC Special Entry Selection Process
There will be a two-stage selection process for candidates applying for NCC Special Entry 2022. People who pass Stage 1 advance to Stage 2. Candidates who apply for the NCC Special Entry must check the entire selection process. The selection of the candidates for Indian Army NCC Special Entry Recruitment 2022 will be made through the following procedure:
- Shortlisting of Candidates: The candidates will be shortlisted by the Indian Army for the recruitment process and will be emailed the date and time of the next stage, the SSB Interview. Candidates must log in to the website after receiving their Selection Center allotment to choose their SSB dates, which are initially available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- SSB Interview: The SSB will be conducted at Selection Centres, Allahabad (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bangalore (Karnataka), and Kapurthala (PB), for which the candidates will be intimated on their registered e-mail ID and mobile number. No requests for changes will be entertained regarding the selection centre's allocation, which is at the discretion of the Directorate General of Recruiting, Integrated Headquarters of the Ministry of Defence (Army).
- Medical Examination: Candidates clearing the SSB will have to undergo a medical exam based on which a merit list will be prepared.
Those who don't pass stage 1 will be sent back on the same day. The SSB interview lasts five days, and information about it is available on the Directorate General of Recruiting's official website. A medical exam will be conducted if a candidate is recommended following Stage 2. Depending on the number of openings, joining letters for training will be issued to candidates recommended by the SSB and deemed medically fit, in the order of merit, subject to meeting all eligibility requirements.
NCC Special Entry Salary
For NCC Special Entry 53 Course, the candidates will be firstly given training at OTA, where they will only be paid a stipend during the service training, which will be INR 56,100/- per month. On completion of the training, the candidates will be given a starting NCC Special Entry salary in the pay matrix of Level 10 in Level INR 56,100/- to INR 1,77,500/-. NCC Special Entry: Army Group Insurance Fund (AGIF)
The NCC Special Entry Cadets are insured for INR 1 Cr (from April 1, 2022) in the same manner as regular Army officers. For individuals who are completely disabled and are declared invalid by the Invalidating Medical Board (IMB) but are not eligible for any pension, a payment of 25 lakhs would be made. For a 20% disability, this will be correspondingly decreased to 5 lakhs.
An Ex-Gratia Grant of INR 50,000 will be paid for disabilities less than 20%. Disability benefits and Ex-Gratia Grants are unavailable to people with disabilities brought on by drunkenness, drug addiction, or diseases developed before enrollment. NCC Special Entry Cadets expelled for being unsuitable, withdrawn for disciplinary reasons, or leaving the Academy on their own accord are ineligible for disability compensation and Ex-Gratia.
To join the AGI Scheme, which applies to regular Indian Army officers, NCC Special Entry Cadets must pay a subscription fee of INR 10,000 in advance every month. The exact rate would also be applied to recovering the subscription for the demotion period.
NCC Special Entry Merit List
It should be emphasised that more than a simple SSB interview qualification is needed to guarantee ultimate selection. A merit list for NCC Special Entry 2022 will be created based on the candidate's performance at the SSB interview. The older applicants will be rated higher in merit if more than one contender receives the same SSB score.
The candidates with more significant percentages of marks in the qualifying NCC Special Entry will be ranked higher in merit if both the SSB marks and ages of multiple candidates are the same. Higher educational credentials, prior performances, etc., don't matter.
Subject to fulfilling all eligibility requirements, those on the NCC Special Entry 2022 merit list who fall within the designated vacancies and are in good health will be issued joining letters for pre-commission training at OTA, Chennai.
NCC Special Entry Training
The NCC Special Entry training at Chennai's Officers Training Academy (OTA) lasts 49 weeks. Subject to completing all qualifying requirements, selected candidates would be detailed for Pre-Commission training at OTA, Chennai, based on their position in the final order of merit, up to the number of vacancies.
During the NCC Special Entry training, candidates cannot reside with their parents or guardians or get married. Candidates cannot get married before finishing their course at OTA. Despite passing the SSB interview or medical test, a candidate who marries after the date of their application would not be enrolled for training.
If a candidate marries while undergoing NCC Special Entry training, they will be released and must reimburse the government for all expenses incurred. It also applies to the dependents of Army personnel who have lost their lives in battle. The University of Madras will grant all candidates who complete Pre-Commission training at OTA, Chennai, a "Post Graduate Diploma in Defence Management and Strategic Studies."
NCC Special Entry 2022: Training Fee
The government is responsible for covering the entire cost of NCC Special Entry training at OTA. The cost of NCC Special Entry training is INR 15,055/- (as of 2022) and as announced from time to time per week (for the period of the candidate's stay at the Officers Training Academy, Chennai/Cadet Training Wing) if the lady or gentleman cadet withdraws from the training academy for reasons other than medical grounds or the reasons not beyond his/her control.
