World Forest Day is celebrated on March 21 every year to raise awareness about the importance of forests around the world. Every year, the United Nations Forum on Forests and the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) organize events on this day. The United Nations General Assembly recognized March 21 as World Forest Day in 2013.

Forests cover one-third of the earth's land and around 1.6 billion people and more than 2,000 indigenous tribes depend on forests for fuel, food, medicines, and shelter. World Forest Day 2023
