On account of International Women's Day 2022, the Ministry of Women and Child Development launched the Kanya Shiksha Pravesh Utsav Campaign in alliance with the Ministry of Education and UNICEF.

The primary goal of the Kanya Shiksha Pravesh Utsav Campaign is to bring back out-of-school adolescent girls to the conventional education stream.

The campaign is important as it concentrates on different dimensions of social growth like gender equality, education, and women empowerment.

The Kanya Shiksha Pravesh Utsav Campaign was recently launched under the Ministry of Women and Child Development's BBBP (Beti Bachao Beti Padhao) program by targeting over 400,000 school dropout girls as direct beneficiaries.

More than 400 districts will receive funding under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) undertaking to sensitize societies and households at the fundamental level and enrol girls in educational institutes, over and above the grant received by the Anganwadi workers (AWWs) and Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan.

These Anganwadi workers (AWWs) and Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan will be delivered more incentives for referring out-of-school-going girls.
