UPSSSC Lower PCS Syllabus 2020

The UPSSSC conducts this exam for various posts released under different departments of the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission. UPSSSC aims to fill vacancies to the posts of Assistant Consolidation/Rectification Officer, Assistant Garden Inspector, Supply Inspector, Marketing Inspector, Additional District Information Officer, Revenue Officer and Executive Officer., etc. Some of the posts require specific qualifications, i.e. in addition to the Graduation as mentioned in the notification. The scheme of examination are Written Exam includes Paper-I & Paper-II:

The Preliminary exam has one paper- Paper I. The UPSSSC Lower PCS Prelims exam will be multiple choice objective (MCQ) type

There shall be a negative marking of 1/4(25%) of marks allotted for the question for every wrong answer.
Preliminary Exam Will be of Qualifying Nature.
Those candidates will be admitted to the Main (written examination) who clear the cut off in the Preliminary Examination.

General Intelligence Test:
The number and Alphabet Series, Figures Analogy, Directions, Non-Verbal Series, Calendars and Clocks, Statements & Conclusions, Syllogism, Mirror Images, Coding-Decoding, Blood Relations, Cubes and Dice

General Knowledge:

Current Affairs – National & International, Uttar Pradesh Culture, Static GK – Personalities, States & Capitals, Currencies, Art & Culture, Geography, History, Indian Constitution, Sports & Games, Computer Knowledge

General Science/ Arithmetic:

10nth Level School Mathematics - Arithmetic, Quadratic equations, Data Interpretation, Algebra, Simplification, Probability & Geometry

10nth Level Science – Physics, Chemistry & Biology, Balanced Diet, Calorie Distribution, Protein, Vitamin, Vitamin Deficiency, Anemia, Vaccination, Water Resources, etc.

General Hindi:

2. Mains Exam Syllabus:

Those Candidates will be admitted to the Main Exam who are declared successful in the Preliminary Examination for which the successful candidates will have to fill up another application form according to the instruction of the Commission and for this application.

The duration of paper-1 will be 1 hour 30 minutes.

Paper-II: Comprises of

The duration of paper-1 will be 1 hour 30 minutes.

So the total duration of the mains paper will be 3 hours for a total of 400 marks. There shall be a negative marking of 1/4 marks(25%) for every wrong answer.
