Meghalaya TET Eligibility 2021

The Directorate of Educational Research & Training (DERT) has notified the eligibility criteria for the Meghalaya TET exam. The DERT conduct the MTET exam every year to determine the eligibility of a candidates for the primary school and middle school. The MTET eligibility for Paper I and Paper-II is given below.

Candidates must assure that they possess/ fulfill the eligibility criteria prescribed in the notification before applying for the recruitment. If you don't satisfy the eligibility criteria, your application will be rejected. Check all the important eligibility criteria below.

Meghalaya TET Education Qualification 2021

The educational criteria for the lower primary school teachers and middle school teachers in the table. Check the Meghalaya TET Educational Qualification for all the exam categories:

Paper I (Classes I to V)

Candidates must have qualified for the 12th standard by scoring a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST). Along with 12th candidates should have passed the 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education following the NCTE. OR Candidates must have passed the 12th standard by scoring a minimum of 50% marks ( 45% marks for SC / ST) with 4 years B.El.Ed. OR By scoring a minimum of 50% marks (SC / ST minimum 45% marks) candidates should have qualified for the 12th standard with a Diploma in Special Education.

Paper II (Classes VI to VIII)

Candidates must have qualified for the B.A / B. Sc by scoring at least 50% marks with a 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education following the NCTE. OR Candidates must have passed the B. A / B. Sc by scoring minimum 50% marks (for SC / ST minimum 45% marks) with 1 year B. Ed. OR Candidates must have passed the B.A / B. Sc standard by scoring minimum 50% marks (for SC / ST minimum 45% marks) with 4 years of Bachelor course in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR By scoring a minimum of 50% marks (SC / ST minimum 45% marks) candidates should have qualified for the B.A / B. Sc course with a Diploma in Special Education. OR The candidates must have qualified for the 12th standard by scoring 50% marks ( 45% for SC / ST) with 4-Year B.A/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed./ B.Sc. Ed is also eligible

Meghalaya TET Age Limit

The Meghalaya Teacher Eligibility Test is an eligibility exam. The minimum age limit to appear for the exam is 21 years. The upper age limit for the MTET exam is 32 years.

Meghalaya TET Nationality

Any Indian candidate who is otherwise eligible for the exam can apply for the Meghalaya TET exam. Candidates who are not Indian nationals can not apply for the recruitment.
