Meghalaya TET Application Form 2021

MTET 2021 Apply Online Date 2021 Extended. Meghalaya TET Application Form has started on 9th August 2021 on the official website - megeducation.gov.in. The last date to apply online for MTET is out and the link will remain active till 31st  August 2021. The MTET exam 2021 was scheduled to take place on 28th August 2021 but has been postponed.

The Directorate of Educational Research & Training (DERT) has released the application dates for the Meghalaya Teacher Eligibility Test (MTET) application form on the official website. The MTET exam is conducted to certify the candidates for the teacher post in the state schools.

Steps to fill Meghalaya TET Application Form

Candidates need to follow the given steps to apply for the Meghalaya TET posts.

  • Visit the official website @lmegeducation.gov.in or click on the link given below and skip the next 2 steps.
  • Click on the “Advertisement: Conduct of Meghalaya Teacher Eligibility Test 2021.For Details….” link
  • Click on “New Registration”.
  • Enter all the basic information as mentioned on the educational certificate.
  • Unique Registration numbers will be generated.
  • A message and e-mail will be sent with the registration number and password.
  • Fill in all the information as asked in the application form.
  • Upload all the required documents.
  • Pay the application fee if applicable before final submission.
  • Take a printout of the Meghalaya TET application form for future reference.

Meghalaya TET Eligibility Criteria

Candidates can check the eligibility criteria for the Meghalaya TET exam. Check the age limit, relaxations, and eligibility criteria.

Age Limit:

The age limit for the MTET posts:

  • Minimum: 21 yrs.
  • Maximum: 32 yrs.

Age Relaxation:

The age relaxation for the MTET is applied as per the Meghalaya government rules.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must note the education qualification for different posts. All the qualifications must be from the recognized universities.

Paper I (Classes I to V)

Candidates must have qualified for the 12th standard by scoring a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST). Along with 12th candidates should have passed the 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education following the NCTE. OR Candidates must have passed the 12th standard by scoring a minimum of 50% marks ( 45% marks for SC / ST) with 4 years B.El.Ed. OR By scoring a minimum of 50% marks (SC / ST minimum 45% marks) candidates should have qualified for the 12th standard with a Diploma in Special Education.

Paper-II (Classes VI to VIII)

Candidates must have qualified for the B.A / B. Sc by scoring at least 50% marks with a 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education following the NCTE. OR Candidates must have passed the B. A / B. Sc by scoring minimum 50% marks (for SC / ST minimum 45% marks) with 1 year B. Ed. OR Candidates must have passed the B.A / B. Sc standard by scoring minimum 50% marks (for SC / ST minimum 45% marks) with 4 years of Bachelor course in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR By scoring a minimum of 50% marks (SC / ST minimum 45% marks) candidates should have qualified for the B.A / B. Sc course with a Diploma in Special Education. OR The candidates must have qualified for the 12th standard by scoring 50% marks ( 45% for SC / ST) with 4-Year B.A/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed./ B.Sc. Ed is also eligible
