Army Public Selection Process 2022 defines the complete process of selection that is obtained by the Army Welfare Education Society for the recruitment process. As per the latest notification released by AWES, there will be three different stages for APS selection. The Army Public School selection criteria will include online screening tests, interviews and Evaluation of Teaching Skills And Computer Proficiency.

Army Public School Selection Process 2022

The Army Public School Selection Process is conducted by the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) for the recruitment of teachers in the Army Public Schools for PGT, TGT and PRT posts. The APS Selection Process will fill up the vacancies in 136 Army Public School that are situated all over the country. There are three stages of the selection process for Army Public School as given below:

  • Stage 1: Online Screening Test
  • Stage 2: Interview
  • Stage 3: Evaluation of Teaching Skill and Computer Proficiency.

Army Public School Selection Process for Screening Test

The fist stage of the Army Public School Selection Process is the screening test. The screening test is conducted online to ensure that quality teachers are selected for an appointment. The candidates who will qualify the written test or screening test will be given a scorecard.

  • There will be two parts for the APS online exam separately for PGT and TGT posts for the written exam.;
  • The candidates must score a minimum of 50% marks in each part.
  • The scores of the candidates shall be normalised to 100.
  • All the questions shall be MCQs.
  • 0.25 marks shall be deducted for every incorrect answer in the online test.

Candidates must also check Army Public School TGT exam pattern and Army Public School PGT exam pattern to understand the marks distribution for each section in the written exam.

Army Public School Score Card

After the completion of the online test, the candidates who will obtain at least 50% in each part shall be issued the Army Public School Score Card. With the help of the Army Public School Score card the candidates will be eligible to appear in the subsequent selection process. Here are some salient features for the scorecard.

  • PGT/TGT candidates who fail in Part B but pass Part A may opt to take a Scorecard for PRT.
  • The candidates must score a minimum of 50% marks in each part.

Validity of Army Public School Score Card

The Army Public School Score card 2022 shall be valid for lifetime provided the candidate takes up the teaching job within three years from the date of passing the screening test in any CBSE affiliated school for at least one year. The Scorecard will make the candidates eligible to appear for Stage 2 & 3 of the selection process. You must note that obtaining the scorecard does not guarantee you an appointment as a teacher in any Army Public School. It only makes you eligibel to appear for Stage 2 & 3 of the selection process.

Army Public School Interview

The candidates who will obtain the scorecard shall be allowed to appear for the 2nd stage of the selection process which is the interview. The Army Public School interview will be conducted by the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) as per the vacancies available in the respective schools as per the vacancy. The availability of vacancy shall be announced in local newspapers, school website, etc.

The interview will be conducted as per the discretion of the local management as per the suitable date and time.

The 3rd stage of the Army Public School selection process is the Evaluation of Teaching Skill and Computer Proficiency. The written test will be conducted that will be comprise Essay & Comprehension of 15 marks each. Apart from conducting the essay and comprehension test, evaluation of teaching skills of the candidates shall also be conducted. The Selection Committee may also hold Computer proficiency tests if they desire.

Army Public School Selection Process - Points to Note

Here are some important points that you must note related to the AWES APS selection process 2022.

  • The appointment of the candidates will be made as per CBSE/AWES Rules.
  • The authorities conducting the Interview may carry out additional screening of candidate if the number of candidates is large.
  • The interview sahll be for a group of Schools and the selected candidates for Regular Category may be appointed in any of the schools in that cluster.
  • CTET/TET is not mandatory for appearing in the APS Screening Test. However, CTET/TET conducted by Centre/state government is mandatory for appointment as TGTs/PRTs.
  • Obtaining the scorecard does not gurantee you for final appointment.
