1. Get the basics right - The syllabus from which the questions are asked in the CAT exam is certainly of the 10th or Secondary School standard. However, to solve those questions quickly, you must be very clear with the basic concepts of such questions.
2. Make plans and FOLLOW - It is very important to prepare a well-planned strategy for cracking CAT 2022. But what is more important is that you follow your plan and don’t just let it go untouched. Many people create 1-year long plans or 6-months long plans. This is something one should refrain from doing as it never turns out to be fruitful. You should take small steps - make weekly targets, push yourself very hard to achieve them. These accomplishments of small targets will help you reach your ultimate goal - Cracking CAT 2022.
3. Identify your strengths and weaknesses - It is very important to know and understand your strong and weak areas. As you have plenty of time to appear for CAT 2022, you can come over your weaknesses and make them equivalent to your strong points. Suppose if you feel you are weak in Probability, your aim should be to master that topic at the earliest by practicing maximum questions. Rather you must get into that topic so deeply as if you were to research that topic.
4. Inculcate a ‘Daily Reading Habit’ - A daily reading habit is a must for all the aspirants preparing for CAT or any other MBA entrance exams. Reading newspapers, magazines, editorials, etc. has multiple benefits - enhancement of vocabulary and gaining knowledge about the current affairs happening around the world. Also, a daily reading habit will help in increasing your speed of reading so that it becomes easier for you to solve the Reading Comprehension questions.
5. Find ways to enhance your Vocabulary - It is very important to constantly work on improving your vocabulary. Spare 30-45 minutes daily and try to learn 8-10 new words daily. Merely knowing the meaning of new words won’t serve the purpose, you need to use them in your daily life so that you imbibe those words in your memory.

6. Maintain a Disciplined and Focused Approach - When you have a big dream in your eyes, staying disciplined and focused throughout your prep journey is no big thing to ask for. Following this will only help you get closer to your dream of cracking CAT 2022 with each passing day. As they say “The one who takes the pain to wake up early, enjoys more sunshine” which means, you need to leave your comfort zone and get into the strict prep mode at the earliest if you aim to bell the CAT in 2022.
7. Avoid study material collection from multiple sources (online/offline) - Having proper study material for your preparations is an essential tool to crack CAT 2022. However, you must analyze and choose the best amongst all the material that is available on the internet.

8. Attempt mocks and previous year papers - Time to time analysis of your preparations is very essential. You must attempt mocks and previous year questions every week to keep track of your ongoing preparations and analyze your weaknesses and shortcomings. This will help you identify your weak areas so that you get a chance to improve them in due time.
9. Build an impactful Profile/Resume - Not everyone is lucky enough to get a chance to design their profile/resume according to the trend or requirement of the institute. As you have approximately 15 months in hand, it is advised to get involved in some good co-curricular and extra-curricular activities which reflects your better side on your profile. A profile having multiple certificates of participation/appreciation will have more weightage in GD-WAT-PI rounds over profiles lacking them.
10. Remain motivated and always have a Plan-B at your disposal - Not losing hope and staying up in every situation is something you must remember at every point in time. There might be days when you feel to leave everything and just sit back. This is the time when you are completely exhausted. Thus, the best thing to do at this time is to take a break for 2-3 days from your routine life and join back with much enthusiasm so that you give your 100% in preparations. Also, it is very important to have an alternate plan apart from CAT 2022. Just in case you don’t get through CAT 2022, your year must not be wasted and you get a chance to try your luck in something you are meant to be.
