Key Learnings From NMAT 2020 Exam
- The number of questions got reduced from 120 to 108 (36 Qs in each of the three sections)
- The testing window is of 88 days for 2020 as compared to 75 days of 2019
- Candidates may take NMAT by ‘visiting the test centre’ or by ‘Online Proctored Exam from home’ mode
- The Quantitative Skills section was the easiest section of all the three sections
- The Logical Reasoning section was the toughest section of all the three sections

Note:
- The three sections of the test can be attempted in any of the 6 possible orders as per the choice of the test taker (one has to pick the order a few minutes before the test starts)
- Each of the sections is individually timed. Test takers must review their answers before moving on to the other section as once one submits a section, all answers are final, i.e., you cannot revisit a question to change its answer once you have submitted it
- There is NO NEGATIVE MARKING in the test
NMAT 2020 Exam Difficulty Level
While doing the NMAT 2020 Exam Analysis, we found that the difficulty level of the exam was moderately easy. Questions from the Quantitative Skills section were found to be the easiest amongst all the sections.
- Almost 45-50% of the candidates found the Quantitative Skills section to be the easiest amongst all the three sections
- The candidates we enquired, said that the Logical Reasoning section was the toughest section of all three sections. Also, it has been seen earlier, the LR section turns out to be a score booster for a majority of candidates
NMAT Exam Good Score/Attempt
According to the NMAT exam analysis, a score of 230-235 is considered to be a good score and will allow candidates to get admission to some of the good colleges that accept NMAT scores.
The expected cutoff one can expect for NMAT 2020 can be around 210-217.

NMAT Cut Off 2020
The NMAT 2020 cut-off score is 230-235 for the General category. This score is higher when compared to 208-212 which was the case with the previous year's cut off.
- For the Language Skills section, the sectional cutoff could be anywhere between 65-67
- For the Quantitative Skills section, the sectional cutoff could be anywhere between 75-77
- And for the Logical Reasoning section, the section cutoff could be anywhere between 70-72
