The Ministry of Human Resources and Development recently released the NIRF India Rankings 2018. NIRF or the National Institutional Ranking Framework was approved to rank the educational institutes of the country in different domains.

About NIRF
The Ministry of Human Resources and Development approved and launched the NIRF or National Institutional Ranking Framework in September 2015. Following parameters are considered by the core committee set up by the HRD ministry for these rankings. These are:

- Graduation Outcomes
- Outreach and Inclusivity
- Perception

The above rankings are based on the complete scores obtained by the different participating institutes on the basis of the 5 parameters mentioned above. This year, total 71 law schools had applied for the NIRF Rankings.
