The Indian Institute of Travel and Tourism Management (IITM) has a long history of making headlines for its collaborations with major corporations, great placement rates, and accolades. • July 2021:  A workshop on "Future Employment Prospects in Travel and Tourism" was held at IITTM, Bhubaneswar, an independent organization under the Union Ministry of Tourism. Dr Md S Hussain, the Nodal Officer, spoke on turning Covid's problems into academic strength by enrolling in rigorous coursework. • February 2021: Admissions for the BBA and MBA programs at the Indian Institute of Travel and Tourism Management (IITTM) have opened for the academic years 2021-24 and 2021-23, respectively.

IITTM is a non-profit organization founded in 1983 and has various locations, i.e., Gwalior, Bhubaneswar, Noida, Nellore, and Goa. Its mission is to provide development, education, and research in tourism development, travelling, and related areas. It is a self-governing body within the Ministry of Tourism of the Indian government.

Here's a look at the fee structure, entrance standards, admission cut-off score, and placement history for 2020.

The academic curriculum provided by IITTM is based on an internationally accepted paradigm of management education. IITTM offers a wide range of training disciplines for various stakeholders and custom-tailored tourist business management curricula.

The following are some highlights of the Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management: 

MBA in Travel and Tourism:

The CAT/ MAT/ IIAT/ ATMA test results are used to determine admission to IITTM's MBA program. A valid GMAT score is required for international students. The results of the national entrance test are used to determine admission to other IITTM programs. The admissions procedure is as follows:

• Those interested in applying for IITTM must do so online.
• The CAT score and the PI-WAT round are used to determine admission to the MBA program.
• A cut-off score is announced, and students who pass the exam are invited to the second round of admissions.
• For the admissions procedure, international candidates must maintain important papers such as their SOP on hand.

Eligibility Criteria for IITTM Admission:

• CAT for Indian students and GMAT and GRE for international students 
• Bachelor's degree (Minimum 50% aggregate)
• Though some courses do not require it, having work experience has always been given preference. 

BBA in Travel and Tourism:

The IIAT test results are used to determine admission to IITTM's BBA program. The results of the national entrance test are used to determine admission to other IITTM programs. The admissions procedure is as follows:

• Those interested in applying for IITTM must do so online.
• The IIAT score and the PI-WAT round are used to determine admission to the BBA program.
• A cut-off score is announced, and students who pass the exam are invited to the second round of admissions.

Eligibility Criteria for IITTM Admission:

• IIAT or 10+2 merit for Indian students 
• 10+2 degree (Minimum 50% aggregate)
• Though some courses do not require it, having work experience has always been given preference in group discussion and personal interviews.

Admission to IITTM is based on the cut-off score released by the institution. This is further based on two types of cut-offs:

• The qualifying cut-off to shortlist candidates 
• Final cut-off or call cut-off 

The final cut-off is always higher than the qualifying cut-off. Candidates are expected to clear both the sectional as well as the overall cut-off for admission to MBA programs. Usually, the cut-off ranges between 70 and 80 percentile.

Students must qualify for both CAT or any other entrance exam overall, as well as the sectional cut-off to shortlist for the final interview. 

The final cut-off is calculated based on CAT and interview scores.
