IIM Ranchi Admission 2022: Eligibility, Selection, Online Form

IIM Ranchi Admission 2022-24:

IIM Ranchi offers a 2-year flagship course in MBA (PGP) for aspiring candidates. The current intake for the PGP programs is 275 students. IIM Ranchi is yet to release the cut-off percentile for CAT 2021, for the admission process of 2022-24 batch. The official admission criteria for the year 2022 will be accessible on its official website. The institute will then shortlist the candidates for PI round based on the qualifying CAT cutoff scores, decided by IIM Ranchi. 

Candidates appearing for the qualifying exam CAT for admission to IIM Ranchi must meet a certain set of criteria. They must have:

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% aggregate or equivalent CGPA in any relevant discipline
• A 5% relaxation is given to SC / ST / OBC / PwD candidates in overall aggregate

Here are the various steps involved in IIM Ranchi’s MBA admission procedure 2022-24:

Steps for admission to IIM Ranchi:

• Register for the qualifying  CAT Exam
• Appear in CAT Exam
• Meet the minimum CAT sectional and overall cut off to become eligible for the admission process 
• Apply for Common Admission Process (CAP)
• Participate in the Personal Interview Round
• Final selection basis merit list generated after the last round (PI)

MBA Admission Eligibility Criteria 2022-24 (IIM Ranchi):

Stage1:  Initial Shortlisting for PI

The CAT cut-off percentile scores, both overall and section-wise, for consideration for admission to IIM Ranchi have been provided below. Those meeting the criteria will be eligible for the next stage of the selection process:

Stage 2: PI Process

All the candidates who qualify in Stage I are further eligible to appear for the CAP process consisting of the PI round. However, owing to the present pandemic situation, WAT is not being conducted, and the PI process is completed through an online medium.

Stage 3: Final Admissions

After the conduction of PI, a Consolidated Merit List (CML) is prepared based on CAT score, PI Score, and Academic Profile Score, based on the overall academic performance at different levels.

A Consolidated Merit List (CML) is following components and their corresponding weights:

The score assigned to Profile is distributed among the following:

• Academic Profile: 13%
• work Experience: 7%
• Academic diversity: 5% (For non-Engineering Graduates)
• Gender diversity: 5% (For female candidates)

The scoring for Work Experience is as follows:

The fees for MBA (PGP), MBA-HRM (PGP-HRM) and MBA-BA (PGP-BA) program for the 2021-23 batch at IIM Ranchi is 16.3 lakhs.

It can be paid in the following manner:

• Admission fee- Rs. 1,00,000 to be deposited through an online mode while accepting the offer of admission.
• Tuition fees- to be deposited in 6 terms, at the beginning of each term, with a total deposit of Rs. 2,50,000 for each term.
• Caution money- Rs. 20,000, which is refundable at the time of leaving the institute.
• Alumni fee- Rs. 10,000
• In addition to the above, the student has to pay mess charges of Rs. 21,000 for each term.
