IES Electrical Engineering Eligibility Criteria 2023

IES Electrical Engineering eligibility criteria 2023 is set by the UPSC for the Electrical Engineering branch exam. ESE EE Eligibility Criteria 2023 - Nationality

All the candidates applying for ESE EE 2023 exam must be either a:

  1. Citizen of India, or
  2. Subject of Nepal, or
  3. Subject of Bhutan, or
  4. An Indian-origin person who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, the United Republic of Tanzania, Sri Lanka, or East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, and Ethiopia or Vietnam and permanently settled in India.
  5. Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, and has settled permanently in India

If you belong to either 2, 3, 4, or 5, categories listed above, then you must have a certificate of eligibility certificate issued by the Government of India.

ESE EE Eligibility Criteria - Educational Qualification

You must fulfil any one of the following educational qualifications to apply for the ESE EE 2023 exam.

  • You must have obtained a Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) from a recognized university to apply for the UPSC ESE EE exam.
  • You must have passed Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India).
  • You must have obtained a Degree or Diploma in Engineering from a foreign university/college/institution and such university must be recognized by the government for the purpose from time to time.
  • You must have passed the Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India).
  • You must have passed the Associate Membership Examination Parts II and III/Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India.
  • If you wish to apply for the Indian Naval Armament Service must have either M.Sc.degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communication Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject.

Final-year engineering candidates can apply for the ESE EE 2023 exam.

IES Electrical Engineering Eligibility Criteria 2023 - Age Limit

According to the IES eligibility criteria 2023 for Electrical Engineering, a candidate must be between the age limit of 21 and 30 years. IES Electrical Engineering Eligibility Criteria - Medical Standard

All the candidates who will clear the ESE EE Prelims, Mains and Interview round will have to undergo a medical examination. The medical examination will be conducted by the Ministry of Railways in various Railway Hospitals.
