Dating back to 1951, Miss World is the oldest running international beauty pageant. It was created by Eric Morley in the United Kingdom and is one of the four big international beauty pageants alongside Miss Universe, Miss International, and Miss Earth.

The current Miss World is Toni-Ann Singh of Jamaica. She was crowned by her predecessor Vanessa Ponce of Mexico on 14 December 2019 in London, England. She is the fourth Jamaican to win the coveted crown and the longest-reigning Miss World in history.

The third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic has postponed the finale of Miss World 2021 to March 2022. It would mark the 70th anniversary of the pageant.
