• The environment reporting mechanism will be standardized for the steel and cement industry. The consistency across organizations will ensure more accountability.
• The process of evaluation of project bids will also be standardized. Public work contractors sourcing low carbon materials will be incentivized.
• Will implement baseline standards for low-carbon cement and steel products to spur their production using best practices.
• Will set guidelines for procuring government agencies with details on setting project targets and incentivizing contractors using low carbon industrial materials.
• Will enable low-cost or free certification service for steel and cement producers. It will help accelerate the demand for certified low-carbon steel and cement globally.
• Research, data, and production tools will be publicly available for industries and governments. It will help them set benchmarks for best practices and improvise their production process accordingly.
• Training and knowledge sharing on Industrial deep decarbonization will be done and will ensure that all manufacturers have the required knowledge to contribute to the goal of zero emissions.
