e-SANTA Platform Working Process

The e-SANTA is a paperless end-to-end electronic trade platform between exporters and farmers. The farmers can list their products and name their price, while on the other hand, the exporters have the option of listing their requirements and choosing the products as per their requirements, such as size, harvest dates, location, etc.

This aims to provide greater control over the trade in the hand of farmers and buyers and helps them make decisions with full knowledge.

The details of each listed product are made available on the platform, and an end-to-end electronic payment system backs it. NaCSA plays the role of an Escrow agent. A deal is made after crops are listed and negotiation takes place digitally. Advance payment is made against an estimated invoice.

On the pre-decided date of harvest, the buyer approaches the farmer and the production is reaped in front of them.

Upon completion of harvesting, there is a verification of the amount of material. When this is finalized, the delivery invoice is issued. The final receipt is produced when the material gets delivered to the processing plant and later the balance payment is made by the exporter which reflects in the escrow account. NaCSA will verify it and subsequently, payment is released to the farmers.
