CLAT 2021 Analysis: The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2021 for undergraduates was conducted successfully across the country on 23rd July 2021. The exam was held in a single slot from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm. As per the CLAT Exam analysis, the overall level of the CLAT exam was Moderate & Lengthy.

CLAT is one of the most prestigious law entrance exams in India. It is a Gateway to National Law Universities (NLUs) in India. It is conducted for admission in 22 National Law Universities of India for Under-Graduate & Post-Graduate courses. It is organized by the Consortium of National Law Universities consisting of representative universities.

This year the exam was conducted in an offline (pen/paper) mode at various Centers. Last year in 2020 the exam was conducted in an online center-based mode.  CLAT 2021 is the 14th edition of the Common Law Admission Test.

CLAT 2021 Analysis - Key Highlights

1. It is the 2nd CLAT on the new pattern (passage-based, 150 questions)

2. The statistics before 2020 do not matter now as the exam pattern changed from 2020.

3.  No sectional cut-offs in this examination.

4. The overall level of the CLAT 2021 is Moderate & Lengthy.
 
5. The most lengthy and time-consuming section was Legal Reasoning.
 
6. The easiest attempt section in CLAT 2021 was the English Language.
 
7. In the Quantitative Technique Section, no Graphs and Data tables were there and all the sets were based on Caselet (Passage based).

CLAT Expected Cut Off 2021 for UG Exam

CLAT 2021 Expected Cut Offs - As per the exam analysis and review the expected cut-offs for NLU colleges:

  • CLAT expected cut off for Top 3 NLUs should be 98-103
  • CLAT expected cut off for Top 10 NLUs should be 90-95
  • And, For at least one of the NLUs, it should be 83
