The uniform motion is similar to the actual object speed whereas the non uniform motion is not similar to the actual object speed. The difference between uniform and non-uniform motion are mentioned below.

It is a motion that may be described as a body movement in which the body goes linearly and occupies the same space for the same amount of time, ensuring that its velocity remains constant along the line no matter how much time passes.

It is defined as the motion of a body that, regardless of the length of time duration, moves at varying speeds and does not cover the same distance in the same amount of time.

Acceleration is 0 for uniform motion.

The acceleration of the non-uniform motion is not zero.

Uniform motion covers the same distance in the same amount of time.

Non-uniform motion covers uneven distances in the same amount of time.

The uniform motion matches the object's true speed exactly.

The object's non-uniform motion does not correspond to its actual speed.

The distance-to-time graph exhibits a straight line in uniform motion.

The distance-to-time graph exhibits a curved line in non-uniform motion.

Examples:

1. The vehicle is moving at a rate of 20 metres per second if its speed is 20 m/s. The body's speed does not change instantly.

2. Movement of the Ceiling fan blade.

1. 20 metres are covered by the bus in the first five seconds, and 10 metres in the next two.

2. The movement of the train.
