What is the Importance of the GATE Score Card?
To be eligible to appear for GATE, one must have completed graduation in Engineering/ Technology i.e. B.E/B.Tech from a recognized university or a Master’s in any relevant science subject. Pre-final year candidates can also apply for the exam to be conducted in the following year. There are no age limits to applying for GATE 2022.
The GATE 2022 exam has been conducted in 29 papers, ranging from Electrical Engineering to Geophysics. Candidates can choose any one subject as per their preference.
The GATE is a three-hour long test and contains 65 questions for a total of 100 marks. Each question has either one or two marks. The exam also has negative markings for wrong answers. 1/3rd marks are deducted for every wrong answer.
