WBCS Age Limit for General, Age Relaxation

  • WBCS Age Limit for the general category for Group A, B, and D, the lower age limit is 21 
  • For Group C, the minimum age bracket is 20 years, for West Bengal police services only 
  • The maximum age bracket for Group A, B, and C is 36 years
  • For Group D, the maximum age bracket is 39 years

WBCS Physical Standards

Under the WBCS recruitment process for 2022, candidates applying for the various posts should possess certain physical standards to be eligible therein. These guidelines are provided, and advertised, by the West Bengal Police Department.

Important Points about WBCS Exam Eligibility 

The official WBCS notification has highlighted the following key points regarding the eligibility for the WBCS exam 2022

  • The candidate has to pay an examination fee of Rs. 210, excluding the service charges and GST, However, this fee is exempted for SC, ST, and PwDs. The present recruitment drive is acceptable only for online applications. 
  • Depending on the post chosen, the candidate has to be between the age bracket of 20 to 39 years. Certain categories get an extension for the upper age limit. 
  • The candidate should have government-approved proof of their nationality of being an Indian, or as a permanent resident of India.
  • As per the requirement in the respective positions, the candidates should have physical and medical fitness as per the eligibility guidelines
  • The candidates should have the printouts and scanned copies of the required documents handy for verification for document verification.
  • All three rounds of examinations are critical to deciding upon selecting the opted course for the WBCS.
