OTET Apply Online 2021-2022

The OTET Application Form 2021 is now closed on the official website. Candidates must have to register themselves before applying for the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2021. The steps involved in OTET Apply Online 2021 Process are elaborated below for your reference. 

How to fill OTET Application Form 2021?

  • The Directorate of Educational and Training releases the application form. 
  • Candidates must visit the official website and register themselves using the appropriate e-mail address or phone number. 
  • The next step is to log in and complete personal, professional and academic details. 
  • Then upload all necessary scanned documents along with your recent photograph and your signature. Ensure the photograph and signature that you upload is as per the format and size prescribed by the exam conducting authorities.
  • Now check all the details that you have entered again to ensure that all details are correct and accurate.
  • The final step involves payment from available payment methods.  They are net banking, debit card and credit card.
  • Once the payment is made, take a print out of the confirmation page for future references.

OTET Application Fee 2021-2022

The OTET Application Fee 2021 varies based on the category of the candidate. The Application fee for Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2021 has been laid down below:

OTET Eligibility Criteria 2021-2022

OTET Eligibility Criteria For Paper-I

The OTET Eligibility Criteria 2021 for Paper-I are mentioned below: 

Candidates who have completed Class XII with a minimum of 50 per cent (or 45 per cent for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/PwD candidates) of aggregate marks along with 

  • A two-year diploma in Elementary Education (CT or DElEd) or
  • A two-year diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002 or
  • A four-year diploma in BelEd or
  • A two-year diploma in Special Education/ Elementary Education

OTET Eligibility Criteria for Category-B (Paper-II)

The OTET Eligibility Criteria 2021 for Category-B (Paper-II) are mentioned below: 

Candidates should clear graduation with at least 50 per cent (45 per cent for SC/ ST/ OBC/ SEBC/ PwD candidates) marks along with 

  • A one-year course in Bachelor in Education (BEd) or
  • A one-year BEd course in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard or
  • A one-year course in BEd (Special Education) or
  • A four-year BA Ed/ BSc Ed course 

Note: Candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC/ SEBC category will be provided relaxation of 5% minimum qualifying marks in +2 or graduation level. Also, there is no upper age limit for taking the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2021. However, all candidates must have attained the age of 21 years at the time of appearing for the exam.
