XIMB Admissions 2021

XIMB's MBA and Executive MBA courses are its flagship courses. It also offers some renowned full time and part-time PhD courses. The CAT/ XAT/ GMAT/ X-GMT scores, previous academic record, WAT, GD, and PI rounds as applicable are used to determine XIMB MBA Admissions to respective programmes. The X-GMT is an online test administered by XIMB. The results of the same are made available online on XIMB's official website. XIMB Application Form Last Date was March 31, 2021. 

All candidates applying to XIMB Admission Process 2021 should have taken one of the national level entrance tests, such as the CAT, GMAT, XAT, or X-GMT. Those who have met the qualifying score in either of the entrance exams, as per XIMB Cut Off 2021, will be shortlisted for XIMB Admissions. XIMB Admission Criteria 2021

All of the XIMB Admission Criteria 2021 must be met by an applicant. It also includes student's graduation grades, upper and lower age limits, academic information, and more. The eligibility requirements for each course differs. The XIMB Admission Details for different courses have been mentioned below briefly.

  • The MBA-Business Management programme at XIMB is the school's flagship programme, leading to an MBA Degree from Xavier University in Bhubaneswar.
  • The MBA 2021 class will commence in the third week of June 2021.
  • Based on sectional and overall XIMB Cut-Off Marks, the applicant will be shortlisted for the Writing Ability Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
  • The student's final selection will be based on their performance in the CAT/ XAT/ GMAT/ X-GMT and the Writing Ability Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
  • XIMB EMBA -BM, EMBA-BA Admission 2021
  • The EMBA programme is primarily for working executives and managers. The programme is organised into four terms and lasts a year. In the first week of July 2021, the EMBA-BM 2021 programme will commence.
  • A valid CAT, XAT, GMAT, or X-GMT score is required to apply for this course
  • Students are chosen for the course based on their entrance exam score, past academic record, and work experience.
  • After being shortlisted, applicants must undergo a Personal Interview.
  • The ultimate decision will be based on the performance of the PI.
  • XIMB EPGDM-VIL Admission 2021
  • The Executive PGDM from Virtual Interactive Learning (VIL) is a 12-month programme. It takes 8-10 hours of work per week, plus 250+ Live Virtual Classes on weekends. There are 17 live projects to pick from, as well as over 200 video tutorials.
  • XIMB PhD-Part Time/PhD-Full Time Admission 2021
  • XIMB offers both full-time and part-time PhD programmes. Part-time PhD candidates must spend the first two years on campus. Students must stay on campus for a total of 20 days from their third year forward till their thesis is done.
  • Candidates are chosen for the shortlist based on their academic records and SOPs.
  • The Xavier Research Aptitude Test (X-RAT), Subject Test (if applicable), Presentation, and Personal Interview will all be held in Bhubaneswar for shortlisted candidates.
  • The chosen candidates will begin their PhD curriculum in June 2021.

XIMB Eligibility Criteria 2021


Eligibility Criteria




  • Applicants must have graduated from a recognised university with a minimum of 55% in any subject.
  • Candidates who intend to finish the last part of their degree exams by June 15 of the admission year are also eligible to apply.


  • Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Planning, Geography (Hons.), and Economics (Hons.) with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate AND candidates from other disciplines with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in their three-year Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) program are also encouraged to apply.


  • B.Com (Accounting/Finance), or B.Sc. (Mathematics/Statistics), or B.A./B.Sc. (Economics), or B.Tech, or CA/CS/CMA, with at least 55% marks in aggregate, from a recognised University. Final year degree students, who expect to complete their final examinations and other requirements for obtaining the degree by June 15, 2021, can also apply.


  • Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • They should also have three years of management or administration experience.
  • Executives from small and medium businesses will be given priority (SMEs)
  • Experienced peers with an MBA degree or PGDM or Executive PGDM from respected B-Schools in India or overseas / Letter of Recommendation from the Manager / HR from the Company / Senior peers with an MBA degree or PGDM or Professional PGDM from reputed B-Schools in India or abroad



  • Applicants must have graduated from a recognised university with a grade point average of at least 55% in any subject.
  • They should also have at least three years of experience in the governmental, corporate, or non-profit sectors.
  • Candidates who are self-employed and have at least 5 years of experience after graduation are also acceptable.
  • Aspirants must be at least 23 years old as of July 1.
  • To enrol in the EMBA-BM programme at XIMB, candidates must submit a sponsorship letter or a letter of no objection.

PhD Part-Time and Full Time

  • Applicants must hold a Master's degree or equivalents in any subject with a minimum of 60% marks.
  • Candidates for a part-time PhD should have at least three years of full-time work experience in the executive/management/teaching/research fields.
  • Candidates must have an overall Master's grade point average of 55%.

XIMB Admission Process 2021

Applicants who have not cleared the CAT/XAT/GMAT can take the X-GMT admissions test, which is administered by XIMB. On the basis of the candidates' CAT/XAT/GMAT and X-GMT results, XIMB will release sectional cutoffs and overall cutoff scores. Shortlisted applicants that meet the cutoff requirements will advance to the next rounds. The XIMB Admission Process 2021 for MBA and EMBA courses comprises the following rounds of selection as applicable. 

  • Writing Ability Test (WAT)
  • Group Discussion (GD)
  • Personal Interview (PI)

The following cities will host the WAT and PI rounds of XIMB Admissions:

The applicants' final selection for XIMB MBA Admissions will be dependent on their performances in the entrance exams, WAT, GD, PI, past academic performance and relevant work experience. 

XIMB Application Form 2021

Applicants interested in joining XIMB must first register online by going to (www.xub.edu.in) and filling out the online application. The applicant will receive a confirmation email after correctly submitting the application. A single course application fee is Rs 1,600, whereas the X-GMAT application fee is Rs 1200. XIMB Application Form Steps 2021

Step 1: First, go to the official website (www.apply.xub.edu.in). To apply for a course, go to the website's homepage and click the 'Apply' option.

Step 2: Create an account by providing basic information such as your name, phone number, and email address.

Step 3: After completing the registration process, log in using the university provided registration Id and password to access the application form. Fill out the first section of the XIMB Application Form 2021, which contains your name, date of birth, religion, category, nationality, and other personal information correctly.

Step 4: To continue, fill out the complete page with education qualification information such as your educational qualifications, work experience, and so on.

Step 5: Upload a JPG/PNG file with your signature and a passport-size photo. Upload other requisite personal and education qualification documents in the required format.

Step 6: Pay the sure XIMB Application Fee with a debit card, credit card, net banking account or any one of the prescribed online payment modes.

Step 7: Submit the application to complete the application process.

Step 8: Keep a copy of the application form and Application Fee Payment Receipt with you for future use.
