KJ SIMSR students had a good experience with 100% summer placements, especially during the pandemic situation. Although many companies backed out, yet many others made lucrative offers to students.

KJ SIMSR has a specialized placement cell in the form of a Career Management & Corporate Relations team that handles the entire SIMSR final placement process and placement-related activities. During 2020-2021 placements, all the activities related to corporate connect were conducted online due to the COVID-19 pandemic using applications like Zoom, Go to Meeting, Microsoft Teams, WebEx, etc.

The following steps have been followed during KJ SIMSR final placement process

Step 1: The placement cell sends invitations to companies through email.

Step 2: Interested Students can signup for the choice of their company’s selection process.

Step 3: The cell holds a Pre-Placement Talk (PPT) with the student to have a serious discussion about the selection process and the job description.

Step 4: The students are shortlisted according to their resume and batch profile.

Step 5: After the scrutiny based on the above step, the selection of candidates depends on an aptitude test, psychometric test, Group Discussion, group interview, and Personal Interview.

Step 6: Finally, offer letters are awarded to the selected candidate along with a job confirmation.

SIMSR witnessed 100% placements, an increase in the highest CTC offered to candidates, but a deterioration in the average CTC offered. The gender diversity of 2021 placements was 61% males and 39% females, the maximum number of students being from the Engineering background.
